Hey there! I'm AltairYoshi, or simply Altair! I'm a big fan of anything Nintendo, but more specifically the Super Mario series, who is a huge Yoshi fan and has a variety of hobbies! I do art, video editing, writing, modding, stargazing, and of course gaming!

I mostly dabble into digital art, but I also write stories, edit videos, and mod games, mainly Mario Kart Wii and DS. I have some slight skills in 3D modeling with Blender for said mods, but I'm mostly a beginner still. My art is all about the Mario series, particularly Yoshi! I do fanart, and have a multitude of Yoshi/Mario OCs with their own lore and adventures. I also represent myself online through my Yoshisona, Altair! I am always happy to meet new people, and although I'm a bit shy, feel free to say hi! I don't bite.

Fun facts about me!:

I am from Puerto Rico, and Spanish is my native language!
Yoshi is my favorite character ever! (shocker I know!)
My favorite games are Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective, and virtually all of the Ace Attorney series. (Still have to play AAI and GAA tho!)
I've been drawing since I was a kid, but began with digital art in 2016.
My main art program is Krita, and I use a Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite to draw.

No, I'm not leaving, read on for the full details. So... I'm pretty sure I don't even need to mention what just went down over the last 24 hours. DeviantArt is notorious for not really listening to its userbase and doing dumb shit, but I guess they thought they could top that! Twitter has been burning itself down for the past weeks thanks to Elon Musk, and at the golden chance of bringing some activity back to their site... DA announces they're sucking up to the AI bros. Awesome. To who may not be aware, they have since backtracked on their whole move of having everyone opt out manually of having their art be fed to AIs, as the option to not have your deviations included is now on by default and is also an option under Account Settings > General. Nonetheless, that is just damage control for the mess they already got themselves into. Yeah, they may have finally made it so you have to OPT IN by default, and not OPT OUT, but there's much that remains fuzzy, and the damage is going to

Presenting my website!

Hey all! I'm really excited to share with you all a little something I've been working on for a few weeks now: A website of my own! :la: It's not a big deal, but I worked hard on it so I really wanna share it lol. Basically, it's the one stop for all my things, such as my art, my mods, OC information, and a blog too! I tried many times before to make a site of my own but it never really stuck, however with this one I'm looking to stick with it for a long while! All my art, organized per year can be found there. You will also find my mods, organized by game, and information about my OCs, and some of the short stories! I'll also have a blog to ramble about things. This is not meant to replace any of my existing social medias, but complement them. Twitter is frankly trash at archiving old works, which makes it hard for people to see them. While my DA reliably hosts all my art, and will continue doing so, I want to have my own space to share the art alongside my other creations too

Wow, been a bit since I checked my DA and uploaded some art huh? I've mostly been doodling honestly and I rarely share my doodles, but I'm coming back with some new art soon! :dummy:
