I can't believe that it's been a full year since I posted a journal entry on here. I visit regularly, almost daily, but don't post often. Frankly, I doubt hardly any of my friends are still on here, let alone reading these entries, but here it is:
alswaiter.net is back to being functional. I had some domain squatters trying to hold it hostage for a large fee that I was not willing to dish out, so it seemed as if my site had died like many other ReBoot fan sites. No, it's just because I wasn't going to dish out money to people who wanted to try and profit off my hard work and my ReBoot site traffic. They finally lost interest, and it's under my control again. Anyway, it's now functional, but, let's face it... in need of a face lift and even some new coding. And no, I'm not going to be adding any new information from the new series; That's not ReBoot. I still haven't watched the trailer and I have no intention of doing so, nor wasting my time with watching it. I've heard enough to know that I probably won't enjoy it and frankly, I'm way behind in other shows that are far more interesting to me... I think I'll watch those instead.
In other news, I'm aiming on trying to get a decent paying job again. The job I have, I love the people who work there, but it's not a sustainable job for someone who is single and trying to save for retirement. Now with the website up, I can finally work on my online portfolio again and send it off to potential employers. I've been doing a few other projects that have kept me busy that I can also add onto my CV and hopefully I can get into a creative and WELL PAYING job soon.
I'm hoping to try and work on my digital art as well. I certainly keep busy with personal projects that I try and treat like a job [keep deadlines and a strict schedule], which so far has worked out, now to see if I can add a few more things. Last summer and fall seemed so full with deadlines that it seemed like they were a full time job. But the schedule is getting easier to handle, so adding a thing here or there shouldn't complicate things too much.
My goal this year is to be the year of art and creation. It's going to be fun and going to learn new things.
