Fighting Dragons by AlphonseCapone Fighting Dragons by AlphonseCapone
Fighting Dragons
Dragons are in general territorial beings. Meaning they fight to sustain and expand their territory, cause we all know the one with the biggest territory get all the chicks. However when one dragon see he is about to loose he backs off. And in territorial battles they rarely use their ability to cast flame. So the nature of this battle is far more serious. It is a battle between good and evil. A battle about survival.
Who the evil dragon is, and who the good dragon is, is up to you to decide. I have drawn them "equally" evil, but one of them is the good one. Not saying he win, that does not matter. If the evil wins, he will bring swift havoc on villages, castles, and people in general. If the good one wins, he will go back to his resting place and not bother anyone.

Size: A3
Media: Mechaical Pencil 2HB lead
Time: Approx 20 hours
There you go. Its done. All started out as a sketch which I abandoned, to now take it back up again and finish it. And trust me, trying to fill an A3 paper is not a short time process. And it shos no mercy for the lead. Still I did not have to change lead in my mechanical pencil. I reckon I have to soon :)

Eeenjoy :)

Wow, this looks amazing!!!!The amount of details, the lights and shadings takes my breath away!!! Outstanding what a talented artist can do with only a normal pencil!
Hmm, good question, which one is evil and which is good!? Well, maybe, just maybe, the smaler one is the evil one. I say this because I see he is using flames, so maybe he is trying to cheat in battle, taking the other by surprise.
I love that northern star you drawed outside the "battlefield".

how big is A3 paper?

this is excellent, i wish i had the patience to work on something for 20 hours. I think the most time i've spent on anything was maybe at the most two hours over two days. If you tell me it was 20 hours straight, I'd smack you. But seriuosly, very awesome drawing.
AlphonseCapone Featured By Owner Nov 26, 2004  Hobbyist Traditional Artist
A3 is twice as big as A4... A4 is normal copy paper... the kind you put in a printer. Not sure about the measurments in cm or inches... sorry. And no not 20 hours straight... im not that mad :)
