  1. How long have you been on DeviantArt?

    Since Jun 1, 2004.

  2. What does your username mean?

It's based off the Ronin Warriors/Yoroiden Samurai Troopers fandom. Yami is the name of the armor that Yami Mashou Anubisu wears. (My favorite character, tied with Naaza.) And since his armor is wolf-like, the alpha as in an alpha wolf came into it. So AlphaYami.

  3. Describe yourself in three words.

    Sensitive, detail-oriented, bookish.

  4. Are you left or right handed?

  5. What was your first deviation?

My boyfriend the geek boy by AlphaYami
Drawing of my husband from several years ago.

  6. What is your favourite type of art to create?

  7. If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?

Any style would be good right now. Getting back my confidence to draw again would be nice.

  8. What was your first favourite?

No idea and I can't find a way to figure this one out. Sorry. :( If anyone can figure out this for me, I'll post it here.

  9. What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?

    Probably fanart.

  10. Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?

Oh gods. I don't think I could pick just one artist. I love the variety of art that I find and follow.

  11. If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?

:iconelementaljess: Because she's an author and I love her books. :)

  12. How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?

Can't say I've had this really happen to me. I mean a deviant I follow is/are also very good online friends with me. But I can't think of a huge impact I found via someone only via DeviantArt.

  13. What are your preferred tools to create art?

Pencil, drawing pad, color in either colored pencil or by using Photoshop.

  14. What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?

Ugh I wish I had one right now. :(

  15. What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?

Any time DA is having those buy one get one premium memberships, and I surprise someone with premium membership. The reactions I get make me smile.

The Yoroiden Samurai Troopers / Ronin Warriors OVA collection is available for pre-order. See my blog post, since it'll be easiest for me to keep that up to date for everyone. The OVAs will have both English and Japanese versions.

The TV series, Japanese version only, has been delayed until April.

I have placed my pre-order for the OVA collection and will compare it to the original OVA DVD release from years ago. I'll be posting my thoughts, opinions, etc on my fansite's blog sometime soon after it arrives in the mail.

Found on :iconelementaljess: journal, who in turn stole the idea from :iconra-meenan:. It was originally for the holidays but like :iconelementaljess: I'll stretch this for the New Year. Basically things I would love to receive in the next year from anyone who may be able to provide them. (No pressure what-so-ever!)

Make a post to your DA journal. The post should contain your list of ten holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a ______ icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("all I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV."). The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. (or mention to send a note or somethin').

Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your DA or link to this post so that the holiday joy will spread.

Surf around your friends list (or friends' friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now, here's the important part:

If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use -- do it.

You need not spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf -- to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not -- it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Give, and you might receive. and you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

My list of 10 things that I would like:

1. New buttons or banners for Soul of the Seasons. And I'll accept multiple submissions or submissions from multiple people on this one. So just because someone may have done this before you could, that doesn't mean you can't make one for me too.
Button dimensions: 88 × 31
Banner dimensions: 200 x 40 or 300 x 50 (Need more of larger size.)
Or design your own size!
See existing buttons and banners here. If you make one (or several), message me for my email address so you can send it in. :)

2. A book from one of my wish lists, if you can afford it. My siblings only gift to the kids in the family now, so I don't get any gifts from them anymore. (And I can't have kids so...) This is also why my wish list is so long. ;_;
See my Book Wish List page on my personal site. The books are split between 3 Amazon wish lists that I have linked at the top of that page. If the link doesn't work, or you have any questions, message me and I'll get back to you.

3. A game from my Steam wish list.

4. A second Scratch Lounge for our cats.

5. Replacement floor for the Scratch Lounge that we have.

6. Dark Warlord / Mashou fanart.

7. Fanart of my characters Unacera, Mikael or Na'im. (This may be tricky as it would involve me digging out drawing references and whatnot.)
OOOOR (something maybe easier) a new header image banner for my personal site Dimensions 1200 × 200. Needs to be not Ronin Warriors/Yoroiden Samurai Troopers related. Something with books, reading, cats, owls, or kitsune, or me as a kitsune (a mysterious former coworker compared me to a kitsune so...), or you know surprise me.

8. Lime flavored hard candies are always good. (Why is everything sour apple?!)

9. Loose tea! Moroccan Mint, flavored white teas (not plain), rooibos (again with fruits or other spices mixed in is best), anything else without caffeine. Or an e-gift card for Teavana. That works. :)

10. A drawing of an icon / profile image of me with wolf ears. :) (And tail if you're doing the whole body.) This icon would be used on DA and maybe some forums.

I tag anyone who wants to do this. :)

My fansite Soul of the Seasons turns 18 years old today. I try to imagine back to the beginning when I was in college and first started the website, under a different name, on Geocities. I think it moved to a different Geocities 'area' before moving to Roninweb, then my first domain and finally it's own domain name.

My first ever image from the series was made possible by a digital camera. This was mid 90s so they were bulky back then and expensive. I remember the square memory card you had to use. And you had to put that in a card reader on your PC or connect a cord from the camera to the PC to access the pictures. So yup I froze screenshots on my VHS tape and then used the camera to get a digital copy to upload. Mostly if I wanted images back then, it had to be artwork that I scanned up on one of the few scanners my college had. (In a special small computer lab no less.)

I kind of miss the days back then. I would chat on IRC with other fans. I would print out fanficiton to read. (Because I got eye strain from reading from the monitor for too long.) Once I got real lucky and met a Ronin Warriors fan in person who was also at the time running a fansite for the series. These days, alas, the fandom has shrunk drastically and it's left me feeling very lonely. I miss all the online friends I had to chat with back then. I wish I knew what to do to engage what fans are left, to try to return some of that old spark I miss so much. Heck it would be nice just to have more people to chat with even on a weekly basis.

But I best not dwell too long down that road or I'll get depressed. And this is a day to celebrate, to be nostalgic, and remember all the years fondly.

And I decided to wear gray and black today as a subtle nod to the Dark Warlords/Mashou. (That's the colors of their armor symbols.)

P.S. Does this mean at year 20 I finally get a shakujo? (Please don't say I have to wait for my 25th year. :/)

My fansite Soul of the Seasons is moving to a new URL. I finally got it its own domain name. I think I'm pretty much there in getting stuff up and moved. I just need to double-check each page at this point. I'll be making official announcements elsewhere soon. After that I'll be removing the stuff from the old URL and forwarding people over. (Basically both sites are taking up the same hosting server space, so I'm running out of room with the duplication going on right now.)

The new URL is

Basically what made this all happen was switching from using Dreamweaver to Wordpress to edit my fansite. It seemed easier to manage this if I spun off my fansite onto it's own url. will remain for my personal 'stuff'. And that too will eventually switch to Wordpress.

So yup that's what I've been working on and why I've been quiet as of late. Thought I'd let my watchers on DA know first about the big news. :)

Huge FYI.

News is out that Discotek Media has secured the rights to Yoroiden Samurai Troopers.

The TV series will be released as a collection, but only the Japanese version will be available at this time. Via their Facebook page, “This will be the original version only. If and when we release Ronin Warriors, it will be a separate collection. There are some issues that need to be cleared on the dub.

The OVAs will also be released as a collection and it will be both subtitled and dubbed. Again via their Facebook page, “This set will have the English dub and the Japanese with English subtitles.

Expected release date is February 2015.

The announcement doesn’t say, but I assume it’ll be DVD only.

Question: Should Kayura be added to Soul of the Seasons?

First off to simplify things, I’ll be using the English dub names and terms.

Now before I get to the issue, I wanted to provide people a history of my website. It started off just dedicated to Cale, Dais, and Sekhmet. At the time the information about them wasn’t a lot and was often incorrect. (I remember one saying Cale had black hair and brown eyes..) Anubis at the time had quite the following so for the moment I left him out. Well eventually as you can see I added Anubis and completed the Warlord team.

At the time I left Kayura out because:

  • She was already very popular.
  • She vehemently stressed in the TV series that she wasn’t one of the Warlords, and thus not part of the team my site was dedicated to.
  • I wasn’t a huge fan of her at the time and it would take years for her to grow on me.
Now my thoughts are going back over all of this. Kayura did get Anubis’ armor in the end, so she does technically become part of the ‘team’ so to speak. She is thus a seasonal armor bearer at the end.

Some people may like Kayura being included and some people may not. This is where you come in.

What do you think? Should I add Kayura to Soul of the Seasons?

I guess I’m wondering if people are actively seeking out info and images of Kayura online. The Ronin Warrior fan base has significantly shrunk so there may be a need for it. I personally don’t know if things have reached that point yet.

I already went ahead and made sure I could find enough information about Kayura to make an info page. The rest I need to fill out will be from re-watching her episodes to describe all her abilities, weaknesses, etc. The major work will be in finding, scanning, and adding images of her. Also eventually I’d need wallpapers of Kayura. So this would be a huge project for me.

Some people may say, “It’s your website, do what you want” and I respect that. But I honestly want to know what people think. Feel free to comment on this post, or send me a note if you want to keep it private.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and many thanks to all who comment. I will take all of your thoughts into consideration as I mull this over.

I hit some sort of inspirational roll yesterday. Wallpapers section was worked on and now 1920 x 1080 sized wallpapers are available. I also added 3 new ones. I've made a mental note to look around for Rajura/Dais images that would be great to make into a wallpaper. Some updates to the info pages. Found 2 additional voice actors for Cale, and 1 for Dais. Rearranged info just a tad.

I made a tumblr for Soul of the Seasons. I kinda went on a roll with that as well recently. Basically I was looking for images on my old hard drives and found some I could post there.

Right now I'm feeling a little spent by all that pep.

I've been dealing with inflamed ear drums, so I may rest and try to take care of that today. (I'm on antibiotics. Bleh. So of course I'm take probiotics in between doses. Sighs.)

Hope everyone enjoys the updates!

I've spent this week working on a major update and overhaul on one section of my fansite. My doujinshi page. I hope people like it. It wasn't my first choice of how to redo the displaying of the doujinshi images, and I had to do a whole heck of a lot of tweaking of code, but I can sit back and say I'm happy with the result. I hope everyone here who follows my fansite feels the same. I thought I'd share the news here for everyone interested in checking it out.

*Weary thumbs up.*

Hope you had a wonderful and happy holiday, and that you will all have a great new year.

Never preordering games from GameStop Store again

Journal Entry: Tue Nov 29, 2011, 5:31 PM

So back on July 8th I walked into a GameStop store to preorder Assassins Creed Revelations for the PC. I paid the full price for the game and waited.

On the 14th I checked up on the game to see the PC version had been pushed back till today.

I didn't get a call on the 15th so that convinced me it was delayed.

I got home today, PC release date, to find no messages on my machine. My husband calls the store and says they only hold preorders for 48 hrs, and something about I didn't get a call because I wasn't one of their loyalty members. (WTF?!)

At that point I am LIVID. My husband drives me to the store so I can talk with them directly.

They sold the last game in store earlier in the day. They called the store manager to see about ordering another copy, and shipping it to me. I made sure to confirm with the employee it would be the special preorder edition. Though the employee couldn't say how long it would take.

I angrily asked why my game was not waiting for me, why I didn't get a call. The story (this time) was that it's Corporate's job to call people. I call BS. When I worked as a Bookseller and we had something on hold, we called EVERY DAY that it was on hold before we re-shelved the item.

And here's the GOOD part.. They've been selling the PC version since the original release date, the 15th. We told them the PC version was delayed till today. It was news to them, they had them out selling them. So MY preordered copy was on hold on the 15th for 2 days, NO CALL, and they re-shelved it.

I told them I'm NEVER preordering a game from GameStop again.

Oh and as I walked out he gave one of those "Woah she's pissed" whistles which of course I heard since I was still in the store.

I'm currently on hold with corporate and have been for over 50 minutes. Least to say it looks like I'm filling out their contact form.

Now I'm glad they're trying to make this right, that they're trying to get me a copy. But someone screwed up and they screwed up BADLY.

Never ever again. I don't care what special edition they have. I don't care if they put $100 in the box. Never ever again.

This is what I put in the form on GameStop's website. I'm supposed to get a response in 24-48 hrs but I'm doubtful of that considering how busy their phone line was.

COMPLAINT: On July 8th I preordered the PC version of Assassins Creed Revelations: Special Edition from a GameStop store located on [snipping this out of DA post..].

On Nov 14th I went online to see if the PC version was still coming out on the 15th. I found out the PC version had been pushed back till today the 29th. (See:… for proof) On the 15th I received NO phone call so that sealed the deal for me that it was delayed.

Today when I got home there again was NO message on my machine. My husband Giuliano called the store and they said they only hold preorders for 48 hours and they had sold the last game earlier. At that point I was very angry and my husband drove me to the store. The store employee called the store manager ([snipped again, but I did name the person]) to see about ordering me a copy and have it shipped to me, though he couldn't say how long that would take.

When I asked why I didn't receive a call, the employee said that it was Corporate's job to call me. (And please confirm that information. I want to be sure I have been correctly informed.) When I asked why my copy wasn't waiting for me, they said they did hold it, on the 15th. They had been selling the PC version since the original release date of Nov 15th. Both employees there did not know at ALL that the PC version had been pushed back. They reassured they had been selling it in store all that time.

So my copy was put on reserve on the 15th, I got NO call, not on the 15th, nor a courtesy call on the 16th as a reminder. No notification whatsoever.

So here I am today, when I expected to have the game, with NO Assassins Creed Revelations Special Edition PC game and NO idea when one will be able to be available for me.

Now I appreciate that the store is trying to set this right. I appreciate that they're trying to get me a copy. The reason I am so upset is that I was NEVER called, NEVER notified. This is UNACCEPTABLE. I paid $52.99 for this game and I SHOULD have been called when the game was put on hold, and again on the 16th as a reminder. That is what I did personally when I worked retail and had items preordered or on hold for a customer. I made sure to call the customer when the item was in and again the next day if it wasn't picked up. (Technically the PC game SHOULD have been released TODAY and available TODAY as per Ubisoft's official forum post link that I entered earlier.)

I will never preorder a game through a GameStop store again if the policy for preorders relies on only the ONE phone call. Obviously my phone call was somehow lost in the shuffle and I ended up screwed. This is not how I expect to be treated as a customer when I preordered this game. I feel like I can't trust that GameStop will be able to follow-through on their end of the deal. I'm not going through a game preorder again just to wind up empty handed once more.

Update 2: Wednesday

So my husband Giuliano and the store manager talked. The manager found a copy of the game at another store and he personally went to pick it up for me. Giuliano left work early to pick up the game and the manager tossed in the game guide for free as well as an AC: Revelations advertisement poster.

So kudos to the store manager for putting the effort to right this wrong. I appreciate how he handled the situation.

However I still stand on the fact this shouldn't have happened in the first place. If their policy is only to contact a customer once about their preorder, it's a stupid policy. If the person dials wrong or someone gets accidentally passed over somehow, the customer gets screwed. I still say a courtesy call when the game was still on hold after 24 hrs would have been appropriate. At least that way I would have gotten A call about the game.

Of course I got home about 8:10 or so tonight so I'm too tired to install the game never mind play it. (Mondays and Wednesdays are my LONG days at work.) But at least I do have it now and only had to wait an extra day. (Though technically I apparently didn't have to wait the extra 2 weeks in the first place.) Blah. I just want to put this behind me now and get to some serious gaming starting Thursday night.

Bad Weekend

Journal Entry: Wed Sep 28, 2011, 6:21 PM

So on Friday I woke up with pain in a couple of my toes, one was really bad. It didn't go away so I left work early to go to a walk-in clinic about it. I ended up getting a blood test for gout, and while I was there I got a flu shot.

Fast forward a little over 24 hrs later. I got a call about the test results. My potassium was elevated. 6.0. I was instructed to go to the ER. Well first I had dinner because I'm not stupid. Trips to the ER take a long time.

Because of my medical history they insisted on an EKG, the one with 12 connections. It looks like a weird squid. That done they tried to take more blood out of me. First one they tried the same arm as the previous day. They couldn't get anything out, but left it in as an IV. Then they flushed it with this lovely stuff that not only can I feel it going through my body, but it has a bitter taste. Ugh. Then it was another try on the other arm which likewise didn't work. After that I was sent to a room. Finally they found a spot and got enough blood out to fill 6 vials. Yes I said 6, on top of the 1 taken out the day before.

The ER doctor was nice. He asked what brought me in, what my symptoms are, if I was eating 10 bananas a day. (Ook!) We wait for the lab. It comes back normal, 3.5. The doctor said that if the blood sits for too long before the lab tests it the blood begins to break down and releases potassium. So it was a false positive. Note to all my watchers here, if you EVER get a high potassium reading, ask how quickly the lab got to it. Any doubt do a re-do before going to the ER and being miserable. I still have bruises from all of the needle sticking.

The whole ordeal shook me physically and mentally. I had to take a personal day on Monday because I wasn't sleeping and was having break downs. I went from a hurt toe to the ER after all. I didn't ask for any of that. I didn't sleep well Monday night either. Last night was the first night I got somewhat good sleep. I have no idea if it'll continue.

This year has been about as hellish as last. I haven't even updated my fansite since January! I feel so bad about whatever visitors I have left! Problem is A> My job literally eats 12 hrs/day Mon-Fri. B> All the professional catalogers retired by Dec last year so our Dept is cut in half, so I'm slammed with work every day. C> I'm taking a class this semester in hopes it bumps up my GPA. It's in Website Design Fundamentals so at least when I'm done I should be able to update my fansite. I dunno if it'll look better but the CODING will be better. Anyway that takes any free time left in the day for reading & studying for the class.

Blaaaah. I want a vacation!

The worst part is the last time I talked with my mom and started to discuss my problems (mind you this was 3 weeks ago before this mess) she responded with, "You think you have it bad." She then went on to mention some examples, but I couldn't listen as my mind was reeling from that response. So that only made this weekend worse as I thought Well I can't talk to my mom about this. She won't care. Not to mention I can't remember when she recently actually asked how I was doing. (This particular conversation I sort of inserted an example from my life that was akin to what she was discussing.) A general not-caring and what did I do to deserve this feeling going all around.

I haven't talked with my mom since because I'm so upset about this. It isn't the first time she's verbally hurt me and I'm growing weary of this one sided defunct Mother-Daughter relationship. It isn't the first time this year I've been trying to think of a way to get out of it. I can't handle her issues anymore, I just don't have the strength. I feel like my mother doesn't care about me, or is too lost in her own misery to bother to care. And I don't want a part of this any more until she gets better. I can't solve her problems, she won't do the work to solve them herself, and I'm tired of being on eggshells around her.

So sorry for the rant, but there it is. Any suggestions, help, support, etc is most welcome. I am in a lot of need of all of that right now.

BTW: Journal look is from here.

Edit/Addition: I forgot to mention that I found a charge to Netflix on my checking account this past weekend. I later discovered I've been charged monthly since June. Turns out someone got a hold of my Debit Card number and opened a Netflix account with it back in May. They never did anything with it.

I received several emails from companies about that big info leak earlier this year, and it seems both my husband and my bank card information got out. (Someone used my husband's card info earlier this year to buy Xbox credits to buy games & hacked his Twitter account.) So my Debit card is locked until a new one with a new number comes in the mail. So any purchases till then have to be on a credit card. *Head-desk* Oh and any reoccurring purchases on that card will have to be updated to the new information. Hopefully the card arrives before those charges try to come through.

Update 2: I just found out my web hosting provider "was the target of a large scale website defacing attack on Sunday, September 25th." They replaced index files with their own index.php. The provider went ahead and fixed affected sites. My site looks okay to me but I'll have to give it a closer look later today. Seriously WTF happened this past weekend?!?!

I am getting all four wisdom teeth removed tomorrow (Thursday) at 8:20 am eastern time.

I had to start the antibiotic this morning and so far my body is not liking it. (I'm sure nerves aren't helping either.) It's making me tired, among other things.

I may blog during this time. I haven't decided yet. Depends on how I feel. (I added the link to it below.) I don't even remember if I have comments switched to approval before posting. I'd have to try to undo that as I will be too out of it to deal with that. :P

So wish me luck both during the procedure and on Friday when the dentist's pain killers kick out and I start taking Lortab. I've heard it will be hell that day. I also have to sleep in a 'reclined' position to reduce swelling. Ugh.

Update (9:51pm):

So I was told it went well.

My first adversary to face was the feeling of nausea that began on the car ride home and was at a level 10 by the time I walked in the door. That plagued me at least half of the day. See when they med me up, one of them left this awful taste I didn't like in my mouth. I had to mouth breathe for a bit because it was so bad. Well it came back and made me nauseous. Blegh.

The first thing I tried to drink was water, which in hindsight was a good idea. I still had blood in my mouth :/ Even by 1pm it was hard to swallow due to all the numbness. Anything I drank entailed holding a bowl under my chin to catch what I couldn't get down. Later I improved to a paper towel.

It was truly an odd feeling. I was dealing with the conflicting feelings of hunger and nausea for several hours after the surgery. I knew I had to get calories into me as the day dragged on. Unfortunately most of the non-dairy stuff either didn't taste too good, or was low calorie itself. (The all natural chicken broth seemed to make my nausea worse. Next I went for the miso soup I bought at Whole Foods a couple of weeks back. I was so hoping that it would be wonderful. It wasn't. Blargh.)

I didn't get anything dairy in me till between 3 & 3:20 pm. (The nausea finally subsided. I couldn't get off non-dairy until that happened.) Things started getting better, but the pain came with it. It really struck home around 6ish. I had to finally take the Lortab then, and at 8 I took two more ibuprofen. (Lortab doesn't completely do the job alone.) I was told to definitely take the Lortab by 8pm so you see how my pain came back early.

My cheeks are definitely tender to the slightest touch. (Found that out by chance. I'm not going to seek these spots out) I've never iced something so much in my life. I'm not being religious about it, timing 20 mins on and 20 off and all that. Still it's been a lot of icing down the cheeks. My husband says they look puffy and I have that foretold chipmunk look. I'm just hoping to keep the bruising down.

So anyway that's my fairly quickie update to say I'm okay.

I found this site early morning yesterday via Twitter.

YokosoNews Live. Run by Katz Ueno.

This man is in Japan. Katz is watching news there and translating it into English. He has been taking questions via Twitter, Facebook and AIM. (Via Social Stream?) Then he searches Japanese sites for news. He tries to answer what he can. Yesterday Katz was live streaming for over 14 hours! :wow:

Edit/Update: Found out about an English Ustream of NHK World TV.

So if you're looking for news from Japan in English, check these out.

News: Japan Today | Kyodo News

Also I created a list on Twitter of people I follow that live in Japan.

Places I've found so far:
  • Red Cross - You can also text REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation to Japan earthquake & Pacific tsunami relief.
  • GlobalGiving - You can also text JAPAN to 50555 to give $10.
  • Crunchyroll Japan Earthquake Donation Fund - Donate in $5 increments. Money will be matched up to $5,000 USD. "Once we have collected all donations by the end of next week, we would choose an appropriate charitable organization that will best assist the on-ground efforts to aid those affected. "
  • Give2Asia JSNC Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund - $10 or more.
  • Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) - For those looking to give in a more generalized way. From their website, "MSF's work is based on the humanitarian principles of medical ethics and impartiality. The organization is committed to bringing quality medical care to people caught in crisis regardless of race, religion, or political affiliation."

Just a quick journal posting to share this information.

Get a Free $50.00 Gift Card with Nook Purchase during the month of June from Barnes and Noble:…

This is the first time I've seen a deal with B&N's e-reader. My fiance and I have had a Nook for a couple of months now and we really enjoy them. (He's reading from his as I type this.) So I wanted to share the deal around in case anyone watching me was thinking about getting an e-reader.

The Nook supports epub and pdf formats, so you can buy books elsewhere like fictionwise and import it into the Nook. (Of course I've been content with B&N's offerings.) B&N also does specials for a discount or free ebook every so often. Also when you take the Nook into a B&N store, as soon as it detects their wi-fi an in-store special/coupon loads up on the Nook.

And BTW as always, thanks for the favs and for the llama badges.

I just found the following item on sale on Yahoo Japan. It's a poster of the four Mashou. I actually own this poster myself and it is wonderful! It's one of those really rare YST items. You can purchase it via services like Celga.

Edit: I also found the doujinshi Yami Bukyoku (Translation: Dark Musical Dance) on auction. Another rare item!

I'll just get right to it. I am stunned. I have received more comments about my site and people trying to contact me than I have in a looong time. Then I got featured in a journal entry, granted as a thank you but still!!

Man you all are going to force some New Years Resolutions on me aren't you? :faint:

1. Read a book a month. Already posted a topic about this on LibraryThing. Wish me luck. My long commute eats much of my time.

2. Take better care of myself, doing simple things I should do.

3. Continue to work on Soul of the Seasons. I'm still stunned people are visiting the site and enjoy it. I've heard nothing but crickets for a long time.

4. Damn you motivating and slightly guilt inducing people.. must get drawing muse back up and at 'em! Mikael is of course top on my list. I want to finally nail down his 'look'. Hisato is long overdue to be redrawn. Na'im just needs to be drawn period. (All 3 are supposed to be RW fanfic characters.. if my muse would grant me a PLOT! *glare!*) :writersblock:
