I Don't Even Know If You Can Read It by AlphaWolfAl I Don't Even Know If You Can Read It by AlphaWolfAl
Today while at the hospital for my Physical Therapy (still from my knee surgery) my grandmother went downstairs and picked up my testosterone vials from the pharmacy.

I'll be calling tomorrow to ask if it's cool if I just do it tomorrow or something because I've already been taught how to inject myself.

You've been going through trans-gendering?

Yea I'm currently 11 months into my gender reassignment.

Been on Testosterone that long, but I've been out about it and presenting male for over three years, just had to wait for insurance to pay for the hormones.

Good stuff. So everyone accepts you as male now? How'd the family take it?

I have two transgendered friends, one male to female and the other female to male and they certainly are not the gender they started with. One thing that is very important though is to do a lot of research on the hospitals if you are going to get the restructuring done. Up here in Canada it is free but you never know what kind of care you will get due to peoples' prejudism. My one friend almost died with the aftermath of the surgery. I was so upset when she came back and told me about it. So take your time and study up on them! I don't want you going through the same bs she did.

Dang sorry. I can't feel right without warning people but it's almost like I'm lecturing which I'm not trying to do. I'm glad you are doing so well with this. Are you finding any personality differences with the testosterone? I'm sure your voice has become quite deep.

most people see me as male now yea. My mom's a bitch about it, her husband misgenders me on purpose, my gram is trying really hard though.

That's always the risk with any healthcare. But the hospital I go to here my hormones doc is really cool and my top surgery I might have to pay out of pocket for either way.

I haven't had any personality changes, except a little more confidence in my body.

my one friend who ftm had the same problems except it is his sister who misgenders all the time. friends though - yeh we were all cool with it and it didn't take much to properly gender him

True enough. Good stuff I'm glad that you have a good place to go to for your operation. Oh but out of pocket? Wow. That's an ouch right there. My friends were lucky money wise up here.

More confidence in self and body is very good. Was it difficult for you figuring out that you weren't truly female inside? My ftm friend had difficulty but we all knew he was male. He said he used me as his role model as I'm the most masculine female he'd ever met but I'm definitely female LOL

most of us run into at least one person in our lives who doesn't want to be a decent human being about it.

yea down here it's all considered "cosmetic" still

I didn't have any real trouble coming to terms with it, I was always a pretty butch person and when I officially came out most of my friends were just sort of like "FINALLY"

that's what I figured

it is difficult depending on where you live. it is sad that people cannot understand

that's what we said to my ftm friend as well. finally! Cripes I hardly knew him at the time and I agreed whole heartedly.
