Ennui and the Fear (summary)

The short film starts with Fear and the emotions get ready to start in the morning. In the human world, Riley wakes up as Jill and Bill are happy to see if she's ready for school. In Riley's mind, however, when it is Ennui's turn to control the panel, Fear is distracted by the new core memory, leaving her. Fear realized that it's not any color of memories. It was shiny and white like a pearl. The emotions don't know who made the memory white, so he decided to look at it for a bit. For Ennui, she was envious and amazed to see it. She excitedly runs to it.

As soon Ennui sneaks up to Fear like without getting caught by him, she snatches it and flees, prompting Fear to chase her. During the arguing from going down to NOT going down, she slides down and enters the Subconscious, which alarms Fear. He finds her sitting on a bouncy blue bag which they soon realize is the belly of Jangles the Clown.

They try to escape silently, but Fear lets out a laugh because of Ennui's ridiculous movements, waking Jangles up. The clown starts chasing the two. Not only that, Ennui defeats Jangles as he falls downstairs to the basement. Fear was proud of Ennui until they got out of the Subconscious. While Fear lands on a ground, Ennui slams onto the recall tube which she slips and falls.

In a moment of courageousness, he saves Ennui and gets away from the cliff. Fear was disappointed and worried at the same time to Ennui, who began to cry and apologize to him about when she didn't know what happened to her as she sobs emotionally. HE comforts and reassures her that he's not mad at her, but instead, he's happy because she is safe. They finally embrace each other as Sam, Frank, Dave and Paula are moved to tears by their exchange. They met them as Fear tells that him and Ennui were having a lovely talk. He retrieves the memory as Fritz gives it to him. Suddenly, it glows into indigo and purple. Later, Fear and Ennui finally created a new mixed emotion as they pressed a button together. Later at night, They are awakened by Embarrassment, which he accidentally slips and squashes them on purpose.
