This was a little bit of an experiment. A few years ago Twitch.tv started to broadcast the old episodes of the joy of painting with Bob Ross. It kind of had an amazing effect on the twitch community as several thousand viewers all watched Bob paint. There was jokes and memes and all kinds of interesting stuff going on in the chat room of the Bob Ross channel. I how ever watched it on another streamer I've been following for years on his hosted re-stream of the show talking with his smaller community about the painting and so many people in there started to feel the urge to paint! Other streamers had the same urges and a few painted along with bob on their own streams. in the chat room I was hanging out in a few people got crayons and color pencils and did a painting or two as well sharing pictures in chat. Having grown up an advanced art student and a long time watcher of Bob Ross when I was very young, I had some better knowledge of what Bob was doing, but i did not plan to paint along because I've always hated paint. I can not keep paint from getting everywhere and making the biggest messes. When someone shared their MS paint I remembered I had corel painter that I had picked up intending to do a digital portrait the portrait never got finished but I had brushes set up and my Wacom tablet. I let chat room know next painting I'm painting along in a Digital painting program, even with my past real world painting experience I SUCKED. Digital painting is very similar to real painting and I was never good I knew what to do just could not accomplish it because of the mess I always made. Dispite how bad i thought it was I shared it with the chat room and one or two people liked it.
just a little side note the painting i decided to jump in on and paint along was the a weird one had a black canvas and rather tall as well. Was able to quickly adjust my canvas size and color then chased bob for the rest of the 30 min show.
