"Success is never final. Failure is never fatal. It is courage that counts." - Winston Churchill    Behind every great animated production, are thousands upon thousands of ideas that make the story a whole. The concept is what makes a movie, the first idea is what starts it all. Once the idea has the O.K to go on to a production, hundreds of people go to work and work off of that one sketch and idea. Going on to thousands of different tones and feelings for certain scenes or developing characters that make the movie rich.    When the production and character designers are creating ideas for the story, they learn not to become to attached

So.... I've been super inspired to create Disney/Pixar related art recently!!!! I'm open to any and all requests that relate to Disney/Pixar! Some of my most recent work is inspired by Brave. I saw the movie and it was AMAZING!!!!! I have never seen animation so gorgeous. Ever since I watched my first Pixar movie, I was amazed by what the animators do to make them move. Toy Story, being my first Pixar movie, I watched that when I was about 5 or 6. Ever since then, I've had a growing curiosity on how the animators make the characters move and how they incorporate lighting into a scene. Since I've always loved to draw, this was and still is

Happy birthday! :D
It's time for...

OKAY so first thing's first. Looking at your art, you're really talented. But think you could improve on some things. Like...
Your shading. It makes everything look too smooth.
Your clothes look too smooth. As an example, look at how this person drew the clothing: [link] There are bumps and lines showing the little folds in the clothing. And this one: [link] This artist (one of my favorite artists on dA) has used the lighting to her favor, and gave the clothing dimension and shape with it, along with using lines to show folds and creases in the clothing and hair.
For a semi realistic drawing... [link] Pay attention on how she shapes the clothing and hair and face.
And with this one: [link] the artist used lighting to make the folds in her jacket look real. Like, more light shone on the parts that were pointed outwards and such.
And in the following pictures, I want you to just observe how the person made the lighting and the lines and the olds and creases...
And I highly recommend looking at this [link] artist. Don't copy her style or anything, but see how she does everything. And just look at your favorite artists and just see how they interpret all their lines and folds and creases and hair and everything, and then experiment yourself and see what works best for you. :la:
