Anyone ever felt that Jenova is underlove? I did some research while drawing this picture, and I couldn't find much fan art on Jenova... I search Deviantart, Pixiv and Google image and found almost nothing on Jenova... Odd... I thought she would be much more popular then that....
I mean, she is the mother one of the most famous villain in the video game world; if not the most famous... She is the mother of Sephiroth!
Anyways... She isn't the top character that I wanted to draw... but she is on my list for a few years... after I played Final Fantasy Crisis Core (love the game BTW)... And after all these years... I finally drew her ^^. Actually, it was a debate between her and Kerrigan (Starcraft)... Kerrigan gets much more love then Jenova so I decided to draw Jenova instead.

What irks me about hardly anything ever having been done of Jenova is that Jenova is essentially THE villain of FF7. Yeah Sephiroth is the one performing the actions, but Jenova is the one acting through him to accomplish its end goal of annihilating everything. With all the FF7 crap they keep on making, I'm astounded they haven't done an actual prequel about the events of Jenova arriving on the planet originally.
