Pride Gyaos

If you don't like Pride content or are against LGBTQIA people in general, then move along.

Last year, I made some fan art of Cressa Beer's "Coming Out" short film, and despite its praise (including from Cressa herself), it did get some flack, which was expected, of course. Because pOLiTicS dOn'T bELonG iN mAh gUHJiLLeR or something. Much to my own amusement (and mild annoyance), it always rustles someone's jimmies whenever I post it somewhere.

That said, I wanted to REALLY irk some haters...perhaps with a monster that -canonically- fits in the LGBTQIA+ spectrum. Gyaos, from the 1995 film GAMERA: GUARDIAN OF THE UNIVERSE is a combination of Trans, Intersex, and Ace. The Gyaos are female by default, but have the ability to alter their own genetics to become "male" (or take on male characteristics) in order to reproduce asexually.

As for the art itself, it was challenging - but fun - to only use the colors of the T, I, and A flags - black, purple, gray, pink, blue, yellow, and white. I do a lot of stylized color palettes when painting with acrylics, and I'm really liking extending that to my digital work. The sketch itself was typical of my ink work, nothing out of the ordinary.
