The Legacy of the Avatar, Ch.1

"The Legacy of the Avatar" Prologue: The summer months had begun to fade, like the fading glow of the comet that once represented the world's greatest threat and only hope. In three-quarters of a year's time, the greatest adventure of their young lives had lived out its legacy, ending climactically in fire and smoke at the Fire Nation capital and on the shore of the Earth Kingdom amidst the Field of Pillars. Looking back, those days seemed so distant, and yet, so close. Our heroes had changed much in that short time and none of them could really bring themselves to grasp that it was finally over. Indeed, this was fortunate, for the journey

My Bio
What about me is there to know? Hmmm, quite a lot, actually, but I suppose you want the important, internet-relevant stuff.

Well, the first social networking site I joined was YouTube. There, they call me AlabamSoldier. Feel free to look me up sometime, as it is among the purest representations of who I am on the internet.

I am also a member of AvatarSpirit.net (ASN). There, I go by Celestine.

The fourth site I joined (after DeviantArt) was Facebook.com. I go by my real name there. Name's Dexter, in real life. Don't wear it out, it was the first possession I ever had.

So, why DeviantArt? I got involved after I had a vision, of sorts. I'm a big fan of Avatar: The Last Airbender, and one night I was inspired to draw my favorite character. I was filled with energy to the point of fanaticism and I couldn't just let it slip away. I HAD to draw it! So I did. It became known as "Hurt That Lasts" and I joined DeviantArt to upload it here for the purposes of showing it off to the rest of the ASN community. It hasn't received as much attention as I would've liked, but I have remained committed to adding more deviations nonetheless. Since then, I have branched out to writing literature and even giving advice.

Ask, and thou shalt receive! Stop by and say hi sometime! I join these sites as much for the company of those who appreciate me as much as I do to view the fine works of others.

The Sun's Final Rays, Here Comes The Night

The Sun's Final Rays, Here Comes The Night

About twenty-one years ago, my grandpa suffered a series of strokes which left him without much use of his left side. About twenty-one years ago, his life expectancy was two or three years. About twenty-one years ago... Well, it's been about twenty-one years. He's seen his eighty-third birthday plus about six months, the wedding of two more of his children, the birth of two more of his grandchildren, and his fifty-second anniversary. He lived through the death of his lifelong friend who lived only a mile or so down the road, and who like him, has lived there all his life. In fact, the bed my grandmother still sleeps on tonight (Grandpa has s

Change

So, it seems there is indeed much to be changing in the near future. This time, I actually have something to write about. :stupidme: First of all, let me start with some of my own news: My general manager at the car wash is leaving and moving back to Fort Lauderdale. And, since I've been there longer than anyone else --in fact, I was there before we even got operational and working full-time two weeks before he even got hired and many, many months before anyone else -- he is giving strong thought to recommending me to take his place. We've been open a year as of this past October/November and he's the second manager we've had. I was passed u

Fire and Air

Title, because I literally could not think of anything better and between August and September, the seasons of fire and air are just about to trade hands. And let's be honest, I'm only doing this now because it's kinda been last Christmas since I've done one of these. I'm really not a journal person. Bite me. :finger: Let's see... developments: Old boss got fired. New one is a good friend of mine. Good development there. I can't really say much about it out of desire for professionalism, but suffice it to say that my job situation has improved tremendously. This all happened back in like, April. World of Warcraft finally got updated to Mis
