Drifting Away

I shot this in a lake this summer with a under-water-case. I became quite dark in the end but I liked the contrast between the warm inside and cold outside of the bottle. I would love to hear your thoughts about it. Improvements or changes.

What comes to your mind when you see it?!

Hey it's really great. It truly lives from the difference in colors and light and atmosphere between inside and outside.
Just a question: Is the offset of the bottle (under water versa over water) correct according to the viewing angle? I wouldn't have expected it to be so much…

I don't know anything about photo manipulation on this level, and so I'm sorry I can't give you a more constructive comment. That being said, I love this. So creative! Truly sparks the imagination. :rose:

I love it. The bottle, underwater, looks old and like it has been in the water a while while the top is thriving, so awesome. Reminds me of how some people present themselves one way but you don't see the troubled or worn beneath the surface

It all works together except for the scratches I see around
the circumference of the bottle, it just makes it all seem
out of place with this artwork. I don't know if that is
supposed to be from the lens of the camera taking the
picture are what you were doing water on the
glass sorta thing. If so I say someone needs a new lens.

I like the way you brought
out the 3D effect of the bottle under the water. Though
the inhabitants are far from feeling safe with the impending
storm that seems to be brewing all around the tiny town in
the bottle. The town has a nice down home appeal to it.

i immediately saw the bottle floating and thought of notes in bottles sent out to sea. not knowing who would get them. with this it's like a little world floating along, not know who will find it. the lighting and droplets make me think of a storm that has just passed though. like inside is safe and sound even if the res is unknown.

That is incredible..

You ask, what comes to mind when I see it, I think of being far away from home, losing ones sense of comfort. Inside the bottle, inside ones hometown, a feeling of safety and everyone knows everyone. Outside of the bottle, the deep, dark, unknown, I feel that that would be the "uncharted" rest of the world, outside of that safe bubble per say, what could possibly be dangerous and scary. In the end, as much as we all want to go out and discover, there's always a part of us that misses home.
Just a thought.

It definitely makes you think, I appreciate that.
