P E R S O N A L S

| Traits |
| Enthusiastic | Follower | Gullible | Optimistic | Slow | Routine |

Enthusiastic | Facing everyday situations is much more fun with the amount of enthusiasm that Softecho provides. She is always in such a good mood that sometimes it annoys her clanmates, other times it energizes them to do better. Some cats find her enthusiasm endearing, others wish she had never joined.

Follower | Softecho finds someone, and she sticks with them. She did this twice in her life, once with the strange tom from the city, and once from the loner in the forest. She develops a bond quickly, and becomes nothing more than a duckling, following her mother around. She is not a leader, and rarely, if ever, acts as such. She follows instruction, she needs instructions to function properly. A leader she is not, a follower she will always be.

Gullible | Partially because of her lack of brain development and partially because its just how she would have been should she have been born normal, Sotecho is insanely gullible. She will believe almost everything spoken to her. She doesn't understand the difference between truth and lies, dreams and reality. She was used when she was on her own, but perhaps in clan life she will begin to develop normally.

Optimistic | It is literally impossible for Softecho to be sad. She doesn't know how, plain and simple. So as a result, she is always happy, she always sees the bright side of things, and she never considers the bad. It is a simple trait, but it speaks volumes in itself. She is 100% always happy, and until she learns to be anything but happy, she will continue to be optimistic.

Slow | A result of her mutation, Softecho's brain development was stunted severely. She retains the intelligence of nothing but a kit. She never learned about emotions, and she doesn't know the difference between happy, sad, angry, and all other basic emotions. She doesn't know when its appropriate or inappropriate for some actions, she doesn't know what half the words in their language mean, such as vole versus mouse. They are the same. She cannot comprehend danger, or the possibility of death. She is basically a big baby

]Routine | This feline works best if there is a plan set beforehand. She is a cat of patterns, of routines. She is terrible with directions, but give her a path and she will not stray from it. She is not a strong hunter, but repeating instructions constantly, a bit more than with your average cat, will eventually get it into her head. A routine is what she needs or else her life seems to fall apart. As such, she is very bad with change.

| Extra Factoids |
Fun Facts }
Habits } She recites a little poem she wrote herself when on a patrol, usualy based around the directions she was given.
Fears } None, she doesn't understand fears, but she does react when she is left alone without warning.

| Sexuals |
Orientation } Unknown | Doesn't make connections yet
Preferences } Doesn't really know, but commanding and patient cats are best
Status } Open for relationships to form, I'm open to her being flirted with, would be fun

| Life in a Nest |
Like most histories go, Softecho's starts with her parents. Their story was short, and anything but sweet. Her mother was only a month from getting spayed, and on an outing, was taken by a very handsome tom. They had a fling, and her vet appointment had to be postponed as she was laden with a litter of kits. The pregnancy went well, and she bore three little she-kits. All of them resembled their mother, but there was a single oddity of the three. One of the she-kits had what seemed like extra flesh on her head. When examined closer, it was discovered that she had grown an extra set of ears in the womb, but as the following moon went by, the ears were determined useless, and non functional. However, that individual she-cat had another issue aside from the double ears. Her ability to learn, to grow, and her development was severely less than that of her sisters. It was a common problem present in Dual-earred cats, and her mother didn't love her any less. The four lived in the two-legs nest on the edge of the park. As the kittens began to be weaned, they were allowed outside daily. It was during one of such outings that the kittens witnessed their first firework display.

Two of the kittens enjoyed the show, and their mother watched alongside them. But that last kitten, deemed Bluebell due to the blue bell that hung on a ribbon tied to her neck, didn't understand it. Lights in the sky, loud noises, she became spooked, and did the natural thing. She ran. She was unnoticed as she darted away, through the bushes and into the unknown. In Bluebell's mind, she was doing the right thing, her family would be behind her, and they would get away from the spooky things. She didn't stop until her little legs were tired, and finally she collapsed behind a large trash bin in a dark hall, surrounded by the smell of garbage.

| A Fiery Escape |
When Bluebell awoke, she didn't know where she was, and she didn't remember why she was there. She looked around, and an idea formed in her mind that she could find her way back home. Confident in her ability, she moved with purpose, each pawstep planned, but found herself getting nowhere fast. The little kitten was soon tired once more, and hungry. Her pitiful mewls attracted the attention of a two-leg kit, who took pity on her. She called to her from high above, and set a bowl of something down. Bluebell's stomach was growling, and so she set out on the long journey to find a way up to that teasing bowl. It took most of the day, but with the two-leg kit giving her encouragement the entire time, she finally scaled the fire escape and settled down, lapping up the milk like there was no tomorrow.

Her grey fur was grimy, but there was still the underlying softness. The Two-leg kit wasn't alone, and as her strange non furred paw touched the back of the small feline, a screech came from inside the two leg nest. A much larger twoleg female appeared, and slapped the young one's paw away from Bluebell's back. The young kitten let out a fearful mew and backed away, almost falling through the railing behind her. The two-leg kit spoke something to the larger one, and more milk was eventually put down. For the next few moons, this is what kept the young feline going. The two-legs never touched her again, the adult one seemed scared of her. Perhaps it was because she appeared a stray. More than likely it was because Bluebell was strange looking, and her four ears scared the young mother. Whatever the reason, Bluebell didn't mind. She forgot about her family, her home. Time and time again she wandered the city around that alleyway. She was bullied constantly, pushed around, picked upon. Her joy never left her, and she kept moving forwards. Setting out over and over, she tried to explore, but her paws always took her in circles, and she ended up back where she had started.

Around the time she was 6 moons old, she had developed traits that forever determined her future. She needed a plan, a routine. If it wasn't a pattern, she wasn't comfortable. Things had to be the same as they were before, or her entire day was ruined. Her brains development was just as slow as it had been when she was a kitten, and so for most felines who would have learned how to hunt rats and crows, Bluebell still relied on that daily bowl of milk to survive. She was abnormally skinny, the milk not giving her the sustenance she needed to grow. Her growth was stunted without the right vitamins, and her intelligence never grew. She gained a bully, a male alley cat who followed her from a distance. He would yell at her, throw things, and sic his pals on the young female. They never got too close, fearful of her mutation. Not once did she let it get her down. She was happy, and her life, though slow, was all she knew.

| Unlikely Friend |
Around the eve of her 9th moon of age, Bluebell leapt upon her fire escape as she had done many times before. There was a new two-leg in the room beside her, but she paid no mind. The bowl set before her had a strange odor, but she didn't see any harm in drinking the milk. She had had some garbage earlier in the week and wanted to wash the taste away with refreshing milk. A smarter cat would have recognized the danger before her, but she was not smart, and so downed the bowl in record time. As she sat there, grooming her fur, she found her vision blurring. A large hand reached out and for the first time, she felt the touch of a two-leg's caress. They seemed to be hushing her, so she relaxed, purring as she allowed herself to be picked up and carried.

The small feline woke up somewhere new, and her first instinct was to cry out, the next instinct to run. Neither one won out because her voice was silenced, her legs stiff. Her gaze fell on a large tabby cat watching her, and she let out a soft chirp. He looked at her, then turned and began to walk away. Fear flooded her and she forced herself to her paws, and with a very unstable gait, trotted after the male. He seemed to ignore her at first, which was all well and easy, but as she became more in control, she found herself doing something she hadn't the chance to do in a long while. She talked. She talked and she talked and she talked. Her topic of choice started as thanking him for whatever he did, switched to wondering where they were, moving quickly to why the sky looked darker, and ended on the fact that he was very good at being quiet. She smiled wildly at him, completely oblivious to any discomfort he was feeling. It was dark, and she finally took a look around her. She had no idea where she was. In the dark, things looked completely different. Before the male left again, she fearfully asked him what wwas going on. He took the time to calmly explain that the two-legs has drugged her, planning to take her away, probably because they were tired and scared of the strange cat that came by everyday. She didn't think about how he knew she was there everyday, instead focusing on the fact that she was hungry. The male told ehr to go catch a rat or something, and she stared at him. She had no idea how to hunt, let alone what the heck a rat looked like. He then started at her like she had sprouted wings, though then again, she did have double the ears he did.

She never mentioned the strange appearance of his head, instead figuring he was special like her. She stuck beside him for months to come, and over time, grew to consider him her family. He taught her the basics of hunting, and Bluebell assumed he was figuring out she was special, because his patience seemed to grow stronger the longer he spent with her, lessons lasting only a few minutes, which was all her attention span could handle at a time. Night after night, he ordered her to sleep farther away from him, and night after night, she slowly inched closer to him until finally, after he had fallen asleep, she curled up beside him, using his back as a pillow. Her eyes slid closed and she was soon purring in her sleep.

| Change of Pace |
She was over a year old now, a full season cycle, when the tom remembered a piece of prey he had hidden in an abandoned building only a few blocks away. The male instructed his follower on how best to get there, the fastest way, and the exact turns she would need to take. This information was important to the female, because without them, she was liable to get lost, and possibly hurt. Instructions were easy for her to follow, and so off she went. Left here, two rows of trash cans straigh ahead, and a right at the strange red sign. Look both ways before moving forwards. She took a look to her left, no monsters. To the right, clear road. She stepped forwards, and suddenly heard a loud barking sound from behind her. Eyes wide, the feline turned around, face to face with a very small dog. It spooked her, and as she backed up, a honk sounded. Spinning rapidly she found a monster bearing down on her. She let out a screech and took off, running across the street just as the monster zoomed past, barely missing her tail. She tripped on a pile of garbage and rolled head over heels for a moment before coming to a rest. She caught her breath, stood up, and continued following the directions. Only now she was no longer on the proper side of the street. Her directions were taking her the wrong way, and it wasn't until she had done the last step did she realize the location she was in was not in her database of memories.

| A Better Place |
As she walked around, she discovered her location was a complete stranger to her. Her routine had been messedup, and now she was lost. She didn't feal scared or worried, she didn't know how. She just kept walking until she ell asleep underneath a tree. Over the next week, she discovered berries tasted good, and different plants kept her alive. She was lucky she didn't eat any detahberries, just regular berries. She met up with a strange panda tomcat who kept her company for the next few moons before they ended up seperating. He taught her the basics of hunting, survival on her own. He seemed nice to her, and he took care of her. Very patient, he reminded her of that tom from the city. She never remembered his name, but he was stuck in her mind. They only seperated because she was attacked by a fox who was defending the set she had accidenly fallen into. She was lucky and her speed saved her life, as well as a patrol of warriors from a strange group of cats. She was saved and taken back to the home base.

Discovering this group of cats beloned to a larger group called Windclan, she was put on a trial basis or the next moon. Windstar seemed to take a likeing to her. Maybe it was because of her childish manner, maybe she just felt bad for the slow little cat. But she accepted her into the clan, and gave her the name Softecho. A full cycle and six extra moons since her birth, Softecho had a place to call home. But would she stay there, time will only tell. She has no friends yet, and still doesn't understand the warrior ways. She was all but assigned a mentor herself, to learn and develop as best she can. She is the project of Windclan, to make her better is their plan.
