Here is #11 of the series (3 more to go!!) - the Drowned Lord! This one is a human (Manu) who is cursed with undeath, turned into what is called a Shardless in the aetherverse lore. While not technically without a heartshard, Shardless are lifeforms trapped between the living and dead - a soul bound to a walking corpse, its threads of aether just barely held together by sinister forces...

The Drowned Lord's predicament is a result of their murder at the hands of the Warlock of the Abyss (tomorrow's design) - which will feature the conclusion to the tale!

Tale of the Elegy of the Sea

Race: Manu [Undead]
The kingdom of the seaside pearl was famed for its boundless riches of silver and gold. This prince, handsome and elegant, believed the world his canvas -- and yet never found someone who truly called to his heart.

Until a fateful ocean storm left him nearly drowned - and rescued by a beautiful maiden of the sea. When he believed he finally discovered her again - he realized too late that he was mistaken. As he said his vows and believed he'd wed his beloved, she stabbed him in the heart - and revealed her true identity as an Irolys sea-warlock, who cast his body into the sea and laid claim to his kingdom.

As he fell, he could only watch helplessly as his true love dissolved into the waves below. Now bound by a curse of the sea, he wanders the depths aimlessly in search of that which was lost.
