Description: It was dawn. The camp was quiet and the horses quietly grazed or played with one another. Men and women wandered the large camp, children played and fires burned. But the calm silence was quickly drowned out. It started with a hint of rumbling, but the sound traveled quickly to where it almost sounded like thunder. Everyone heard it and looked toward the west, straining their eyes to detect the source of the noise. Then in a matter of minutes, it happened. The sight of the Cheyenne Indians came rushing toward the Indian camp. They began to holler as they grew closer, trying to scare the quiet Indian camp into chaos. But it wasn't just Cheyenne Indians that came rushing toward the unsuspecting camp, for amongst the Indians were members of the Cavalry. They waved their swords as they rushed toward their enemy. It seemed as though the Cheyenne had made a deal with the U.S Cavalry.
