Take Flight

She’s been stuck in this dark dungeon for ages, where she once entered merely out of curiosity. While her powers begin to leave her and her wings start to fade – she hears a voice in her head, like a whisper.

These shackles that stop you, what if I told you that you yourself have created them? Throw away those heavy burdens you have bestowed upon yourself and be the free spirit you’ve always wanted to be. Look closely and find that the key to your own freedom is within your reach, you need only to try.

She raises her head slowly and looks at the golden item dangling from her neck. Realizing maybe for the first time that she actually can reach it, the flickering of hope in her eyes.  Soon, she’ll be once again able to spread her wings.
