My parents and my grandparents think its a pretty boy. One of the largest portraits I have ever done. 60" by 40" inch. Does it really look that Androgynous ? Maybe that's why I really like this painting.

To me they looks androgynous, and I love that! It adds to the feeling of the piece, with not many distinguishing characteristics but the deep captivating stare.

I think it's a girl, then again I'm not easily fooled by hairstyles.

Well... at first glance I saw the character as a girl.

I'm not sure how you meant for it to be seen, but that's my first impression.

I really hope you feel supported by all the fans you have. Your works are incredible, and you're greatly admired for your talent, and how you show yourself and your ideas through your works.

Facial characteristics are that of a young, pubescent boy, but the delicateness of the hands lend the viewer (or this viewer in particular) to determine that this is an image of a female.

First glance = male.
Further glances = female.

I airbrush. Can't handle oils for the life of me, but of I could, I'd want my stuff to look just like this, or Giancola's, or Watwood's, or Bower's, or Ryder's....etc

Wonderful art ! When up close, she is very feminine , but at first I thought she was a very sweet boy. It`s the hair - some woman looks very boyish with that hairdo.
Your details, shadows and lights, it is all perfection ! :star: :star: :star:

To me it's feminine, the hands and fingernails, the mouth and eyes and the scarf. The short hair, well lots of women wear their hair as short as that in Queensland Australia because of the heat. I am really taken with your art, the proportions are so good, so is your light and shadow. Also the way you catch the mood with the eyes and the look from your subject. Your handling of fabrics is fascinating to me. The scarf is prominent with its detail in pattern and edging, but the coat is in the background forcing one's eyes to the scarf, the hands, and the face and the eyes. It's as though she has caught you looking, as you find what a fascinating, lovely woman she is. The faint beginning of smile is showing.
