Suggester says; This is an excellent example of a clever use of a reflection to capture a cityscape. There's also quite a nice balance of sky and buildings - there's just enough of each to make this photo dynamic and eye-catching.

You were so smart to have done this at sunrise to capture the sunlight and the beautiful sky in the morning. I also love the way that you captured all of the slanted buildings inside of the millennium beam. I am from Chicago, and I have never seen the bean look so beautiful before. I would however have brightened the picture a bit more, but other than that I love it, and you are an AMAZING photographer!! You also have found a way to take the picture and clear all of the people out of the way. That is probably the hardest thing to do when taking this sophisticated of a picture! BRAVO!!!

A beautiful photo of a beautiful scene, the effect created by Cloud Gate allows for the already striking sky line of Chicago to be enjoyed in almost it's entirety. The fish eye effect also results in the city looking almost toy like and trapped in a glass dome, this miniaturization is especially effective right now as Christmas approaches and has the effect of making the viewer picture a snow globe scene. Overall the image is a brand new take on an object that has been pictured many times before but in my opinion, never quite so beautifully. This image is truly deserving of it's Daily Deviation!

THis was very well done! I love how you added a couple of building to the right and it goes well with the reflectivve buildings behind it. I live in Chicago and have seen many photos that people took of this. Your's the best one I've seen. You've capture Chicago at it ripest moment. And also the reflection of the sky and the sky itself is pure talent! And you even caught the sun. Amazing work. You also made a wise choice at taking the picture when no one is around. It give the photo a pure, calm feel. And The vibrate colors of the flags adds a hint of the fiestivties that are in Chicago. Awesome!

And I'm not sayin' this because I'm a Chicagoian neither. lol

This is a sculpture. The locals call it the Bean, but it's really named the Cloud Gate. -> en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloud_Ga…

Yoiu must have been there early. I've been at that exact place about a million times but there's always such a crowd to take proper photography

What a unique angle! This is the first picture of the sculpture I've seen that doesn't focus on the fact that it's a silver bean. Outrageous!

If only Chicago looked like this everyday. Seems like lately whenever I visit it's less than blue skies and fluffy white clouds. But amazing photo nonetheless!
