Hours Before Sunrise12242018
"Things have been really hard as of late.
Just seems that some things are left to fate.
Any my life seems out of my own control,
Maybe it's because I sold my soul,
To the guy down the street for a pack of smokes,
These cigarettes help me deal, they help me cope.
But I only got one pack, running out fast,
I need something more steadfast that will last.
I sold my soul, next I'll sell my heart of gold.
Those go for a lot, I've been told.
I brought it to the pawn shop,
And put my heart right on their counter top.
They looked at me and laughed..
Then they sarcastically asked,
'How much do you expect to get for this broken heart?
It looks like it's about to fall apart!'
Rejected again.
My curse till the end.
My eyes look more green when I cry,
And I just can't wrap my head around why,
My life just completely falls apart,
So many times I've had to restart.
You think I'd be numb to the pain by now,
But it hurts more than ever somehow."
