Alida Massari was born and raised in Rome in the seventies. She now lives in the ancient little Etruscan town of Cerveteri. Alida studied Illustration at the European Institute of Design in Rome
She finds inspiration from her surroundings, especially ancient art and ancient architecture and enjoys visiting historic towns. This reflects in her work, which she describes as modern with an ancient atmosphere.
Alida has illustrated many children’s books and gained several awards for her work, which she takes great pride in. Her own personal favourite books that she has created are “Anansi and the bag of the wisdom” and “Raffaello e la fornarina”.
