Upcoming Commission Sales + Updates

Greetings peeps! More updates for you all on our moving situation and some other things!

         

Firstly, I had mentioned last journal that Pyro and I were moving. Well, bad news is we are still moving, but not where we want to go. It'll hopefully be a temporary solution of 6 months to a year, before we find our next destination. But everyone's comments on moving were extremely helpful for this venture as well! And we will use all advice given for our future plans.

Our current apartment lease runs up on the 31st of July, so next month is going to be hectic between packing everything (hunting for boxes because holy crap it's so hard to find boxes?? I stole one out of a garbage can a few weeks ago), cleaning up the apartment, moving, and then the dreadful unpacking. I'll be going through a whole crapton of stuff and getting rid of them. I have a lot of things I feel hesitant donating (I'm one of those weird people who gets uncomfortable donating things to places where I don't know where the items will end up... I suppose because those items once had sentimental value, and the uncertainty of their future makes me a little anxious) so I might see if anyone wants them for dirt cheap (pay for shipping and that's it essentially). And some other stuff I might sell, like my Warrior Cats books because I don't want them and will never read them again lol

Either way, going to do a major cleanup. So I might be scarce for awhile between mid-July and mid-August.

Before that, though, we decided that, in order to pay for the moving truck, we will be hosting extra commission streams and specials! Not sure yet what I'll be doing.

I definitely think I am going to try some "Doodles for Kofi" commission types, where you donate $3+ dollars on my Kofi and I draw you a small something. And then my usual sketch commission streams. We will see!

Just know this is not an emergency donation type of thing! We aren't going to suffer from this move by any means, just to make that clear! But we do need to make some extra money, so we will be doing stuff to properly earn it. It's our jobs, after all!

         

Beyond this, my usual scheduled content should remain. The Selection is fine until August, and I started the next batch of updates already. Birds of a Feather might drop here and there, depending, but I do it for funzies so it isn't a huge deal to miss an update.

ONE LAST THING! I made several status updates last month about my parents' dog, Sadie/Toot/Tater. I didn't want to give any updates until I knew 100% what her recovery was. Well, she officially passed the "safe zone" mark, and she is back to almost-normal now! There are a lot of things that have to be changed for her now (she can no longer take flea medication as example) but other than some inconveniences, she is good to go! I'm so happy about it, because she was on the cusp of death for so long.

On the downside, however, our elderly dog Sammy may pass away soon. While that's not "okay" per-say, I am not as down about it as I had been. He's 15 years old and lived a full, more-than-happy life. I'm just thankful he's made it to such a ripe age!
