Girls need to be encouraged to engage in wide-ranging STEM activities, they have such potential for creativity and discovery, it's a real shame, a crying shame, it's considered a "boy's only club". So exclusionary! You go, Sophie, show 'em what you got! Ignore the sexist comments and dismissive attitude the older generation slings your way, you've got intelligence, wit and charisma and ain't nobody gonna take 'em from you! Pull yourself up by your bootstraps and just let the creative process explode! Hypothesis, experimentation, reformulation of the original hypothesis, MORE experimentation...a LOT of experimentation...whew, Sophie, chill! Relax! Too much experimentation there! Hey! HEY! SOPHIE! You listening, or you lost in your own little world? (A heckuva lot of screaming going on in your own little world, but eh, beside the point) You need to cut back on the experimentation angle, you need some peer review too! Are you gonna publish your findings? No, no, just back to the experimentation phase. Maybe some field research? No, no, no, yeah, you just keep on experimenting honey, some scientists aren't cut out for field research, they're lab monkeys through and through. At least you're enjoying yourself, and that's what's important!
