300+ hours for my first bronze sculpture. That includes sculpting the clay model, making a mold, getting a wax cast, dipping and spruing the wax, pouring both parts, welding the head back on, chasing the weld line, and putting the patina on the bronze.

very nice sculpting, I imagine all process, and wax casting was also a big mission.
So, the head and the body were done appart if you had to weld them?

Thank you! Yes I had to weld the head onto the body with a TIG welder once both pieces were cast in bronze. The real downside of this was that I had to retexture the weld line with a small chisel and hammer which took awhile. However, in the end it was all worth it.
