Annie Market [25 up]
Sometimes owners don't connect with their Annies, something in their life occupies them, or just switch their Annie for another one and still make sure they get an owner who does have time and love for their precious Annie! This is the place for that! A market for Trades, Resells or Giveaways! All Annies still fall under the T.O.S Make sure to read this through properly before you decide you want to own an Annie. A probable solution to commission chargebacks.
Artists who create commissions know one caveat with accepting PayPal: their Seller Protection doesn't cover services, so they can and will be SOL if the buyer decides to dispute the transaction. While Buyer Protection doesn't cover services either, PayPal is notorious for ruling in the favor of the buyer, so the seller needs to look into other ways of protecting themselves. Which leads to our discussion here, of how we can leverage Seller Protection to ensure scamming buyers can't run off with the money after the service is completed -- by converting your commission service into a tangible product. Using HTML on deviantART
Hello! Hello and welcome to my little html tutorial. I've been working with html codes for a couple of years and I'm going to teach you what I know about using some basic html on deviantART. This won't make you a html expert or something and I'm not an expert myself but it will give just enough knowledge to make your journals, comments, news articles and other neat and lovely looking. :) deviantART actually has FAQs about html but I still wanted to do this because they look a bit unorganized, in my opinion. Also, why would you want to look for those FAQs when you can just open this news article where you have everything in one place? :dummy

:iconmudkiplaplz: So I herd u liek progress? :iconmudkiplaplz:

The idea behind this contest is to help Fan Artists realize how much progress they've made through the years.  Basically, you'll be able to show deviantART's Community a comparison between one of your old pieces, and a remake or reinterpretation of said piece, and at the same time get the chance to win awesome prizes!

:iconmudkiplaplz: What do you have to do?

First thing is to find an old Fan Art you've created. It has to be at least 6 months old. Choose something that you think could use some revamping. It can be something you have uploaded to deviantART, but if it's not, you can upload it to your scraps or the Fan Art Gallery Category you think suits it the best.

The next step is to analyse the piece.  How would you execute it today?  What changes would you make?  You can recreate or reinterpret it as you wish, as long as the original concept is kept intact.

Once you're finished, submit it to Contests > 2011 > So I Herd U Liek Progress.

Once all the entries have been judged, a news article will be published with the winners and features of all the entries.

:iconmudkiplaplz: Media:

• Visual art:

o Digital art
o Traditional art
o Photography > Cosplay
o 3D
o Artisan crafts
o Sculpture
o Animation (Flash and Gif format only)
o Cartoons & Comics
o Manga & Anime
o Vector
o Vexel

• Literature: Fan Fiction. Maximum length 3500 words. Poetry & prose accepted.

:iconmudkiplaplz: Rules:

This contest is for Fan Art only. For a good explanation on deviantART's definition of Fan Art, let me quote the wonderful rydi1689, former Fan Art Gallery Moderator: "Our definition of fan art is something that is based on a character, a world, or a story created and copyrighted to someone else. Real people, regardless of how famous they are, can't be copyrighted and therefore it is not considered Fan Art. Real people, places and/or stories that do not have copyright themselves but appear in copyrighted books are still not considered Fan Art. "
Your entry must be a revamp or reinterpretation of your own work. Collaborations aren't allowed.
• You need to provide the thumbnail to the older version of your entry in the Artist's Comments. Don't know how to use thumbnail codes? Check FAQ #511: How do I post thumbnails of my art on the Chat Network or Forums?. For those of you with no Premium Membership, a link will suffice.
• You can enter as many times as you want, but you can only win once. This counts for both the visual and literature categories.
• Your entry must be based on Fan Art made 6 months ago or older.
• All entries must comply with deviantART's Terms of Service and Policy.
• If your entry is a Photomanipulation, please provide links and credit to all resources and stock you've used and make sure you have the proper permission, otherwise it will be disqualified from the contest.
• All entries must be made specifically for this contest. No exceptions.
The contest starts on April 4th 12:00 AM PST and ends on June 4th 11:59 PM PST.

We're still in the judging phase. Please be a little patient as the Literature judging will take longer than judging visual entries.
