This show explores the human body as a subject for art in different artistic media, from the figurative arts to photography.
The human body has been source of endless fascination for artists from time immemorial and across cultures.
In the European tradition we are heavily indebted to the exploration of symmetry and perfection of proportion at the core of ancient Greek art, whose legacy can still be found in the academic idea of the 'classical body'.
