Technological Apathy
The gleam in their eyes from backlit screens was nearly the only sign of life in these human beings. They sat mostly still, unmoving, not meeting the eyes of anyone else. No one talked, and if they had, no one would have heard it. Every single person on the bus had wires running up to their ears, blocking out the sounds of their fellow humans. All this just to allow them to pretend they were alone in whatever world they were exploring. Some immersed themselves in humor, others in fantasy or romance. Invisible - April 6th 2009
Monday April 6th, 2009

Ghosts of a Different Sort
You may think you know me,
you ghosts from the past,
who knew me back thenI've changed since then,
if you cared to find out
But you know what?
You don't matter to me.
I don't know who you are
Quite frankly, I couldn't care lessJust stay where you belong -
in the past and out of my head.
No one wants to remember the bad times.
