So this is a journal announcing the dates and getting everyone excited for Dalek Week 2012!! ~
We had a really great week last year so I wanted to get this journal out early so that we can get as many people participating again.
Now, I'm sure many of you know what Dalek Week is, but for those who don't know, Dalek week is a seven day challenge where you upload one deviation per day for seven days. Each day has a certain theme that you will need to centre your entry around. So let's say that first day's theme is Tears, then your entry should be based off of that theme. Like last year, we are letting all of you guys choose the themes! It is my hope that by letting all of the members of the group decide on the themes we might get a lot more participation in the event when it finally roles around. Please add all of your theme suggestions in a comment to this journal.
That being said, Dalek Week will be held sooner than it was last year, the official dates for it are: July 8th to July 14th. **
Alright, so that's all the basic info you need to know, and I'm going to go ahead and post all of the rules now, so you can all really start getting hyped up!
RULES
The Dalek Week folder will be opened all week. Please submit all entries to this folder, and make sure to mention Dalek Week either in the title or description. Linking our group in the description in recommended. (: 
Your entries do not have to be strictly fanart! They may be writing, manips, photography/cosplay or fanvids. For manips, please try to use only stock images and for your fanvids link the video in a comment on this journal entry. If you simply link it on the comments part of the group or in a journal it will mostly likely get forgotten or overlooked. Do not submit your entries before the date! Early entries will be deleted but you will be able to resubmit it on the proper dates. However, it is encouraged that you start early! Make your entries whenever you want! Many people (myself included) find that when the week roles around, that it is hard to keep up with a submission everyday. So whenever the inspiration strikes, go for it! The themes will be announced probably in a week or so. You may not use pre-existing deviations as an entry. All submissions must be new and made with the purpose of Dalek Week! Following the rules is the best way to get awesome results in this contest. Remember that this event is for the purpose of having fun with art and celebrating Leviathan and it's characters. Don't look at Dalek Week as a big competition but as a week long celebration! PRIZES
Alright, so for Dalek week we normally don't do too many prizes. This year we will have some though!!~
Similar to last year anyone who is able to complete all seven days of Dalek week will be acknowledged in the final Dalek Week journal! So you get your icon shown and a pretty congratulations from everyone here at Alek-and-Deryn :3
Also, after Dalek week, myself and the judges will decide on our favourite entries from each day. There will be one winner per day/theme. Those will be announced and given some special prizes! Prizes have not yet been decided, but when they are I will add them to this journal or maybe post a separate journal. Either way, keep checking in to the group for more information.
