Ladies and gentlemen, I'm proud to announce you the latest shockingly amazing release of kAwOken icon set!

Among various things (a total of more than 1000 icons newly designed or completely redrawed), the best improvement comes from the dramatic increase of colored icons. Now the iconset is bright, colorful, funny and fresh, mantaining its typical minimalistic style as well.

All the three typical iconsets (kAwOken, kAwOkenWhite, kAwOkenDark) comes with the colored version by default. Obviously, this can be changed through the customization script. Thus, the old monochrome, good looking themes we got used to are still available (even though you have to dig a bit to recover them)!

An important thing is that the color option is available also in customized colored iconset as well. The idea here is that the backbone style will be solid and choose by the user (for example, the color of the status icons), but there will be the possibility to use the colored apps side-by-side with the overall style chosen. I believe that this can significantly increase user experience, don't you?

Unfortunately, the ppa is not up-to-date yet, because I'm going to update it when kAwOken 1.5 will hit its final release.

PS: as requested by many, kAwOken update is on its way. Testing is a bit longer, thus you'll have to wait a couple of weeks or so!

Hi all!

As previously announced, a brand new version of AwOken color is available! I added more than 100 new colored icons, so I think you will be pleased by the new additions!
Moreover, I packed them up also for AwOkenDark and AwOkenWhite iconsets, in order to get ready for the upcoming release! As you can see, the colored icons are the same as the default iconset, but the non-colored ones change according to the either dark or white colorization.

Simply extract them, and place them in your ~/.icons directory.
If you feel brave, you can also try the customization script (in order to change forlders and even colorize the icons with whatever color you want).
Simply type this in your terminal window (after having done the previous step, i.e. moving the downloaded folders in your ~/.icons directory):

   cd .icons

   sudo cp -p AwOken/awoken-icon-theme-customization /usr/bin
   sudo cp -p AwOken/awoken-icon-theme-customization-clear /usr/bin
   sudo cp -p AwOkenDark/awoken-icon-theme-customization-dark /usr/bin
   sudo cp -p AwOkenWhite/awoken-icon-theme-customization-white /usr/bin

- Little note: if you have a previous AwOken version installed, type this in the terminal (in order to remove it):

   sudo rm -rf /usr/share/icons/AwOken*

Now you're ready to use the new AwOken 2.5 iconset! Remember that you're strongly encouraged to report any bug or malfunctioning or even anything you think is not working properly or how you do expect it to work!

And here we go!
First beta of new AwOken 2.5, with all the colored icons you saw in the gallery, and more that I didn't uploaded before. Ubuntu 12.10 and Gnome 3.6 compatibility.

Please try it, and feel free to send me any bug you find (also the littlest one ). The customization script should work properly, but be aware that probably the coloration script can have some problems since I have to fix some issues related to the new icons I added.
