Black Rose / Green Star (Hiveswap Fan Theory) by AlecciaRosewater Black Rose / Green Star (Hiveswap Fan Theory) :iconalecciarosewater:AlecciaRosewater 0 0
Literature
Does Rose like to play with dolls?
Is she capable of putting on a performance? Does she "make" friends, or create puppet shows according to a script she writes herself? Is the universe but a bunch of rambunctious children for her to guide and shelter like a childhood game gone horrible wrong?
How she tried so hard in the comic to emulate her mother, and did she ever succeed. The Seer of Void; a violent individual who knows nothing and predicts a future that can never happen. A motherly figure to us all, who embodies the ignorance and destructive tendencies in all of us.
The trolls did a very good job of showing her how to manipulate people, and now that The Doctor is back it is all that she can think about. Oh, how she obsesses over the topic. It seems everybody wants to be the doctor, but her witchcraft allows her to becomes its replacement. The fabric of reality is hers to bend and break at will not through borrowed tools, but through her own.
Want to know the future? Just ask her a question, she is the one to make it

Why I Don't Like Homestuck
tl;dr internet at its absolute worse
I first came to Hiveswap because the misadventures of an autistic 14 year old girl in a cartoon gone horribly wrong was something that seemed interesting to me. When I heard that Hiveswap was made by some legendary author I was naive enough to think that everyone else would be just as excited to recieve something new. I did not ask for Homestuck, or Problem Sleuth, or (ugh) Undertale nor the headaches that came with it.
Just because I have a dissenting opinion of both does not automatically mean I haven't seen either. Yes, i have in fact skimmed over all 8,000+ pages of your precious comic because no one told me the flash animations were important to anything because apparently the space rocks were the only thing that mattered. No, I do not have a time machine and thus can not experience the comic the same way as you, and no I did not enjoy the comic it was fine until it tried to create a Cascade and everything from this point onwards became loud, n

Earthbound is a creepy game
I cannot believe that Nintendo was the company that made this.
Sure it starts out as a nice happy story about overpowered kids fighting aliens and psychic bugs, starring an arguably-autistic kid who understands the importance of friendship within a town famous for its roadblocks and filled with snakes and stray dogs. Everything has a surreal quality to it that almost matches real life but not quite. You get a white fluffy dog as a party member; that's a thing that happens~ Then the games goes and introduces you to the town of Onett, which is a complete horror festival.
The building signs written on crayola crayon imply a kid-friendly place, and yet the town is filled with old men and woman with pixellated clown smiles and random houses with creepy guys in them that give hints. If it is not some guy in a cabin inviting poor Ness into his house when he is alone, then it is the perfectly edible hamburger in the trash can or cars that try to run you over or poor Ness geting beaten up the c

Clarissa never explains anything
Clarissa explains it all! Except, she doesn't. She can't even explain why her life is so much more glamorous then anything Joey knows. She certainly hasn't been any help with the monsters, or Joey's new life on Alternia, nor has she said anything at all about what will happen in Act 2. Clarissa is not a very helpful person~
Even so Joey probably still idolizes Clarissa. She is currently unaware that this "clarissa" person is just a fake persona put on by some random bitch. Every adult realizes how TV cameras work. Joey Claire is currently not an adult, but yet she wants to be a star just like Clarissa! How adorable~ Won't it be a shame if all of her childhood fantasies were shattered right in front of her.
An actresses' life consists of constantly lying, making a big deal out of little things, and upholding a facade so long as the cameras are still running. Clarissa's daily routine consists of lots of makeup and complete obedience to the studio staff who give hints and provide scripts

Would the fanbase please stop making wishes
"i want hiveswap to be over" i keep hearing. nonononono stupid stupid homestuck fanbase this is the dumbest thing you have said yet you would think that they would know by now what kind of troll author Andrew Hussie is but apparently not
It would be a completely insane thing to do, but there is a way to make hiveswap "over" in Act 2. Simply cram the entirety of the original outline into one act; everything planned for acts 3 and 4 instead happens in Act 2 in a whirlwind of activity designed to make a negative amount of sense. Then work on and release Hauntswitch, and only then check to see if the fanbase has changed their mind about what they want.
I am going to operate on the assumption that Act 2 is just that and won't attempt to be the conclusion of Hiveswap.

Can we have Rose for the next friendsim? I want to see if she is actually the mastermind behind all of this or if she tries to destroy the MSPA reader that she created and it would provide the comic tiein that the #homestuck fandom so desperately wants #hiveswap

No, I do not have a time machine and thus can not experience the comic the same way as you, and no I did not enjoy the comic it was fine until it tried to create a Cascade and everything from this point onwards became loud, noisy, and unnecessarly confusing. And no, I cannot tell you what happened at the very end beyond what the wiki claims because I completely gave up when I was suddenly presented with a 14 minute youtube video as the ending after a calm quiet conversation scene. In short Homestuck is everything I do not want in a webcomic.

From what I am hearing it was the Homestuck fanbase that made Undertale. I was made aware of it long before knowing about homestuck, and even then I knew immediately that Undertale was something to avoid at all costs in a judgement that turned out to be correct

There is also a little something called Earthbound. Having played through it recently I can say that Earthbound is primarly a tale of suburban darkness while Homestuck is a big ball of missed writing oppertunities that does not feel remotely similar. he one thing that Earthbound has in common with Homestuck is that the toxic Homestuck fandom would fit in perfectly with the rest of the random nameless NPCs and the arcade at Onett should of contained them rather then the sharks.

Now if John's town was dragged into the Medium along with him then the comic really could of become Earthbound really quickly but the dumb fanbase would rather have loud noisy things that overstimulate then have a geniunely interesting tale about a peaceful idyllic town containing some of the worst types of folk and only held together by the presence of a few decent people

And now we have the friendsim, which is yet more Homestuck to placate a fandom that refuses to allow Hussie to make anything else except for their narrow-minded interpertation of what Homestuck is about. This is not the route that Hiveswap should of gone towards and Hussie has a hard road ahead if he wants to keep his own fan base from destroying him

But in a sense I am glad the fandom has been so horrible because in the long run Hiveswap will be better for it.

When the irate fanbase starts talking, they become a gold mine for writing ideas. The next installment presents some of the things that the fanbase has talked about, so they get very loud and upset providing tons of writing ideas and a month later they completely forget that they even got upset in the first place and then the great Andew Hussie finds exactly the perfect button to push to rile them up again and the cycle repeats. For a long while now the fanbase has been screaming that nothing will happen in Act 2, so if they end up staring at a blank page in a kid's storybook or something then they will only have themselves to blame~

Despite the internet's best effort they *will* be someday looking at Act 2 on Steam and Humble Bundle (yes that's multiple stores so don't determine if someone has seen act 1 based only off their steam account) and in contrast to what the internet claims there will indeed be something extreme coming up designed to benefit Hiveswap in the longterm and the irate fanbase will achieve nothing by screaming at random dogs on the internet.

I only wish that I did not have to be on the receiving end of it.
By now I am sure that some of you have guessed that we might be going to school in Act 2. Teachers like telling students what to do~ Is the climax for this subplot going to be the teachers proving that they value the Doctor's authority over human decency? #hiveswap
