Legend of the Atlasari

Perseus was pleased to find the source of the interstellar beacon pulse. He knew that there was something to the legends that he had heard as a child. This was a fast, single-person spaceplane that had just recently been converted into a vessel that could travel between star systems, so Perseus was relieved to see that it would withstand the several dozen light-years long journey to his apparent destination. He’d still need to do something about that superluminal jump device though. After giving some instructions to the spaceplane’s computer, Perseus saw the planet to which he was headed. This couldn’t be happening. One moment, I was walking towards the Interrealm Building to perform an interview for modelling in Luminar City. The next, I was feeling dizzy, with my hand leaning on something solid and pillar-shaped. I saw what I thought were toy cars in between my silver colored high heels. When I tried to stand upright, I heard something creak. I realized that the “pillar” was a multistory building and my dizziness left me as I realized that I had somehow become a giant. I quickly checked to see that I was still wearing my red & white summer dress. I sighed with relief when I saw that was not nude. Now to c

It worked! I cannot believe that it worked! I had just opened the summoning box to get the doll that I had wished for, and sure enough, I picked up an interesting little male figure that could fit comfortably in my hand. I was about to examine it more closely when the doll… screamed! I nearly dropped it out of sheer astonishment. This exclamation of the miniature contraption startled me, and nearly made me drop the figurine. Then I had an epiphany: “You’re real!” I whispered. I couldn’t believe that the fairy tales were true! Tiny visitors from other lands? The “doll” was trying to speak, but I was

Transport to Gibsonia

Transport to Gibsonia This all started because of some text message that I wasn’t supposed to get. I knew I should have stayed home today. It was Saturday; my day off. I was enjoying my opportunity to sleep in when I got a text message from the old friend: “Dude. Moving across country. Need help 2 pack ASAP. Help please?” I groaned and tried to head back to the covers when two more texts with the same message. I resigned myself to the fact that I would have to drive halfway across town to help clean out his apartment. After driving to my friend’s apartment, I immediately noticed that there was no sign of my friend&#

"Right thrust! Left swing! Block! Parry! Squad Four, watch your flank!" These orders came out from Ethos with a calm but commanding voice. And that was as it should be, for Ethos was the leader of the Order of Renown. Those raw recruits that he was training in this courtyard were the front line against all threats to the security of Alegor. This mock three-on-three battle was crucial to the ability of these men to work in a group and as a team, and that could make all the difference in actual combat. Combat, Ethos hoped, that would never again come in his lifetime. After an hour of practice, Ethos decided to retire his men for the day and d

The Origins of Ominous

The cave was cold, dark, and had a sinister air about it that would scare away most souls. But then again, the hooded figure walking towards it was no ordinary soul. He had not come 20 miles from his homeland to this desolate place only to leave empty-handed, for he was a man with dark secrets and even darker ambitions. As he descended into the cave, the hooded man, armed only with a torch to light his path and a map to find his way, recalled some of those secrets. Those cruel memories. Like how he saw both his parents murdered in a massacre ordered by an insane king. Or how he was forced to eke out a living on the streets while civil war r
