Description
Albertonykus borealis was at one time the smallest known non-bird dinosaur in North America*. At ninety centimeters long, it was about the size of a turkey. It is thought that it used its tiny but robust arms to pry into rotting wood in search of its insect prey.
*The record has been broken by a small omnivore called Fruitadens haagarorum.
