Mango was born to a backyard breeder in a town far from Canidale. She was sold with no certificate as a guard dog to a family in suburbia. At first, everything was good. The kids spent time with her and whenever she didn’t go out for walks she had a huge backyard to play in. The world was so interesting. She wanted to experience everything, to smell every bush and greet every dog. But as she grew up the walks became scarcer. She could feel her owner’s anxiety whenever they took her out and they often shouted at her, though she couldn’t understand why.

Until one day the walks entirely stopped. She waited by the back door, but her family was just coming and going out of the house in that big, loud vehicle of theirs. Whenever she nudged the kids to play with her, they chased her off.

And the life behind a fence was so boring. The only amusement she found was in the passersby on the other side. She couldn’t see them, but she could hear and smell them walking by. So she came up with this game, where she chased whoever walked by running along the fence and barking from excitement. Once she lunged at the fence particularly hard and it gave way, creating an opening onto the street behind it. She was very careful about it at first, allowing herself just a few tentative glances at the outside world. She weighed her options. Her family fed her, but that was just it, and the food was yuck.

Perhaps there was a better life waiting for her out there?

The Akita wandered the streets for weeks. Her former owners never searched for her, or maybe they just didn't try hard enough. She got herself in a few quarrels over resources and earned some scars. Whatever she expected from the stray life, she wasn't ready for it.

Once she wandered exhausted into a backyard seeking respite from the dangers out on the streets. The people who were living there managed to secure her and fed her some tasty food, but unfortunately, they couldn’t keep her for much longer. Later that day a car arrived with more of those gentle humans, who took her with them.

She was brought to the shelter which both terrified her and brought a sense of calmness to her, as she didn’t have to fight for resources anymore. Besides, with her charming muzzle and loving attitude, she must have been one of the shelter’s record-time adoptions. One day she was in and another - boom - on the way to her forever home. Her new owners came all the way from the little town of Canidale. They understood the amount of attention, activity, and training a canine like her would need and they showered her with love on every step. Slowly Mango worked through her fear of other dogs and learned how to be gentle. Day after day she found herself engaging in the dalliances of the community, helping everyone she could and sharing a kind word around. It didn’t take long until she became a recognizable face amongst the pets faction and took her spot on the council.

Over four years have passed since that day and Mango has never let down her friends ever since. For her efforts, she had been awarded the rank of faction Advisor. Despite speaking in the best interests of pets, she still remembers the days she spent on the streets and loudly advocates for the rights of Canidale’s strays. Even though they have no leader and aren’t as unified as other factions, she believes their voices are still important and they should be given a chance to speak during the Council meetings.

What does she do for the community?:

Mango is an active advisor for the pet’s faction. She helps lead council meetings alongside the Faction leaders and other Advisors. On an everyday basis, she lives the life of a companion, enjoying the time with her family. She would never turn down a plea for help, and she is known for resolving matters among members of her faction. The rest of the time she devoted to helping out the Strays of Canidale, bringing them food, and toys and reassuring them with a kind word.

She is open to any relationships, but as per the NPC rules, cannot be seriously hurt nor is he open for romance or pups.
