On October 29th, 2025, shortly after information regarding the anomalies was released to the public, scientists noted a dramatic decrease in kangaroo populations, as well as a drop in sightings of Drop Bears and Bunyips, which had since been determined to be specimens of Thylacoleo and Diprotodon respectively. It wasn't long until they would find the culprit, as a video shared online would feature footage recovered from a film recorder found in the outback, which showed a person camping being hunted by a massive monitor lizard. Had it happened any earlier, the general consensus would be that it was an abnormally large komodo dragon that somehow made its way to Australia, but with the knowledge of temporal anomalies, it was quickly determined to be a temporally displaced Megalania. The massive creature has since been captured and was brought to Monarto Safari Park as a new exhibit in the zoo.
