Dryptosaurus Encounter

Residents of counties in the region of Appalachia should keep an eye out for the creatures known online as the "Laelaps", the newest in a long line of entities said to stalk the Appalachian mountains. Spotted across Appalachia, descriptions of the creature are surprisingly consistent, all describing a black or dark grey dinosaur-like creature with raven-like feathers and glowing yellow eyes. It's said to be around 7 feet tall and 25 feet long, with consulted experts suggesting a weight of around 1.5 tons. Variations in their appearance include a scarred snout and a missing left eye or right arm, which have been claimed to be a trio hunting in a coalition, each of which have garnered their own nicknames online. Regarding their abilities, it's been claimed to be extremely intelligent and durable, easily shrugging off shots from hunting rifles, as well as being capable of running at around 22 mph, move almost entirely silently, bite with an estimated force of 30,000 Newtons, and mimicking sounds with surprising accuracy. It is considered highly dangerous, and is believed to be the culprits behind multiple missing persons cases in the region of Appalachia. It's advised to avoid walking in forested areas at night - though it's recently also been sighted entering town and suburbs at night - and to not approach any suspicious sounds, no matter how human they may sound.
