Hey guys, what's up? I feel like I haven't stopped to relax since April. Thought I'd have a bit easier June, but woah. It wasn't as easygoing as I expected hahah.

And the July? Woah. Well that was something. I have to admit I'm terribly tired. I mean really. So happy to be finally at home or more than two days. Aaand.. tomorrow's the day Advík starts. However, we're attending on Friday and Saturday only. As I said - too tired. I've spent my whole July running around different people, meeting friends, travelling a bit, because I needed to see some new places and get out of Prague, but seems like it was too much I guess? I always got somewhere just to leave in two days or even the day arrived. Phew. So tired and in need of being alone for a little bit again. Glad to sit down with a cup of coffee now and work. Yep. _{And enjoy my new PS4! <3}

Meanwhile I spent all of my time working on commissions. It's weird, because I'm in mood to do anything that somehow includes costume making. I thought I'd work on the mask for my Tyranny Connor or finally finish the rifle for Shay (and Shay in general), not really feeling it. Haven't done any proper picture for myself either (except for my boys coming back home from a looong day - coincidence? ), it's crazy. However! I want to keep my August clean and hopefully a bit busy less as I still have two exams to pass in September. I'd like to have some time to study hahah.

Haven't really progressed with the mermaid comic. BUT. Working on the researches and base of the story of the Wildes here and then. More characters, which I had in mind, are finally coming to life. <3

All in all - this is a journal to tell you, I should be more or less a bit more active again, hopefully. (I tend to write something somewhere, and the moment I do, everything goes upside down and I can't keep my word ) _{And to update all the lists here.}

Oh and I almost forgot! At NatsuCon in Prague me and are going to have a presentation about painting backgrounds again!

So after spamming with the alley so much I could at least say, how did it go, right? For those who haven't read it over at Mort's Art of Le Soldat Mort - It was fantastic! So many new experiences, new people, sold prints (hohoho) and everything. Truth to be told, at first we were a bit scared, that we're messing up our favourite con, for not having the opportunity to take out our best costum stuff and shine. But in the end... I can't really imagine attending only as a visitor/cosplayer. The fact is we've talked about our con visits getting bleaker and bleaker with each new occassion. Thus we started visiting the program, drawing things for artbooks ane even had few presentations, and now the alley table - yay! Whole new world! 

As for the costumes - I had a huge plan to finally make my Shay costume, but the date of AF was just too ... lets call it insecure? Just the view of wearing leathercoat and leatherpants and other layers in the beginning of summer... already had me sweating. So I decided not to do anything new. Until I met the exact fabric Connor from Tyranny has around his hips. Whoops. During the Easter I continued cleaning up my costume wardrobe and used many leftovers and unfinished pieces and voilá - here I have my boy. And there I go running around in bloody fur, when I didn't want to get sweaty. Go me.

ANYWAY - all in all - it was great. We know about things we need to change for the future and hopefully - we'll try another year. Because THIS WAS FUNNNN.

Also - the privilege to serve as a shelter/squat to our tired cosplayer/noncosplayer friends was just too be0uatiful.  You can count on us next time.

BTW - I got the question about new comic a lot - yes. It's happening. I'm working on it. It's just very slow, because I do bunch of other stuff meanwhile. Anyway - The Boy and the Sea is happening. I'd love to have it finished till the end of the year.

Hey there guys! How's it going? How comes I always forget to write the journals more often? Heh. We may never know.

SO!

A lot has been changing in my life lately. I mean, not really changing I think, but a lot of things happened and so. For starters, I managed to pass the first exams at the new school in winter and it was.. woah. Looking back at it now - fun. Compared to the massive ball of dark weird crawling lianas of work that's right in front of me this semester. Woah. I have no idea, how I am going to pass it all this time, but well... I can try. Don't want to get stressed until it's the only option left hahah. Since one of my main subjects is now literature, I spend a lot of time reading medieval books. Which is FUN. Finally got to read some pieces I wanted to take a look at for ages - Song of Roland or Quest for the Holy Grail. The Poem of the Cid coming up next, once I manage to read the obligatory medieval czech prose book (which is boring me to death to be honest). Can't wait for that! <3

Second thing happening - I joined my good friend Changer The Elder for a huge quest. We teamed up to start something what we like to call 'illustration studio' and also Change can now call himself a real publisher. He also opened up a shop with all the artsy/videogame-ish/fanservice goodies. It's in Prague, it's small, so far a bit empty, but slowly it's filling up with more and more treasures like artbooks, mugs (we can print our own mugs! <3), graphic novels, limited prints, ... etc. If you come to Prague make sure to visit it! The shop's called Lupus Libris and it's just a few steps away from the Stodůlky metro station! n_n

Following this, I found myself working on two, soon to be three comics in time. Remember the 'Pirate'/'Sailors' cover I posted in summer? Oh yeah, that one. Well. The prologue that I made last year needs lots of changes, but it's sloooowly moving somewhere. The next thing I'm working on is what received a working title 'Sirens'. Some asked me if it's a follow up to Mentira/Words in Pictures, buuuut it's not. It's another short comic (not as short as Words In Pictures, though), which I would like to have finished until the end of the year. Some more mermaids, more sea, more gingers and a little bit more pages. The third thing is big. A tribute to characters and a serie me and Changer love so much. That's all I can say for now.

Some of you may have noticed, that I started drawing my English family more again. _Spammingggg.Yeah, I'm talking about the Wildes. Well. It's decided. _{Not only because I finished the school which was bringing me down last three years and stealing away every thought for drawing anything more difficult, not to mention huge projects.} Some people tried to talk me into it earlier, but I always waved them off - not having time, not feeling like it, not feeling good enough, bunch of other excuses. Well. Not anymore. Few months ago, I slammed my fists on the table and called it a thing. I would very much love to work on their stories and mash them all up into a comic one day. However, that's all in distant future. First I need to stuff my new notebook/sketchbook with all the research needed, read bunch of books, to actually be able to do at least one simple short and not sweating completely guilty for messing everything up. :'D So... There's going to be much more spam with my babies as illustrations and doodles, but the whole thing is... woah. I'm prolly not getting to that one any time soon. I want to pimp it up. _{Not to mention, now when I think of some of the old scenes from their story, I get all disgusted by how stupidly edgy or just.. plain dumb I was to think up something like that and call it ok. Lots of things need to be changed, sorted, etc.} However, I've been so full of inspiration and enthusiasm lately, like I haven't in years. n_n

And last but not least!!

Since each year we wanted to go to MCM London's comic village something messed up, me and my dear LeSoldatMort decided, it's time to aim a bit lower and signed up for Artist Alley in Animefest Brno. Yay! Going to be sitting there whole Saturday and Sunday (or until the convention ends y'know). We'll be selling prints, postcards, bookmarks, pin buttons, mugs and also some copies of Words In Pictures. I will also be taking sketch commissions on spot. (woah I want to see myself drawing something on such place, which is just one huge distraction. :'D) Come see us, if you happen to visit the convention. n_n

Hopefully, I'd like to open commissions again in no time. _{First I need to finish some rests.}

Phew. That was a lot to talk about, but I just really wanted to share. Bunch of good news.
