Saturn Alia

From the book by Grant Callin, published by Baen Books 1986

Basically, the story is of an exploration into the gaseous depths of Saturn. Since the pressure is deeper as the ship goes down, it has launched a bathyscaphe-type ship to explore further down.

The graphics refer to a artifact, from an alien civilization, that was found (if my memory is correct) that prompted the expedition

This was one of my largest paintings ever, oil on canvas about 34" x 48" in size.
