This is the 3rd book of the ongoing saga of Great King Kalvan of Hostigos, the alternate history of a medieval European kingdom, but set in eastern North America, circa. 1500.

Calvan Morrison was a Pennsylvania cop, when he was whisked away by a UFO, and came under the control of the Paratime Police, working on several timelines of history.

Here, the camera drone (upper left) watches the soldiers from the House of Styphon, enemies of Kalvan, lay waste to the settlements before Kalvan's castle stronghold.
