To see someone this young sculking about the black markets, Roadkill couldn’t help but find himself amused at the sight. Worn and exhausted, the lad looked as though he’d be traveling for days with no rest in sight, and it had him wondering if he was perhaps running from something. A common plight within the underground, those who lurk here are often hiding from their past, or the law, either or, really.
Curiosity won out in the end, and when Roadkill had approached him, the boy looked startled half to death, his jaws snapping in warning as the fur along his spine bristled.
“What do you want!?” An attempt to sound tough.
Roadkill merely grinned, “looking to make a bit of money, lad? I’ve got a job for you, if you’re interested.”
The way the boy hesitated with his aggression, Roadkill knew he had him hooked.

Out in the cover of night amongst the sandy dunes, the two walked briskly, with Roadkill up in front leading the young Tanami to… honestly, he doesn’t really know where.
“Varia is in possession of a treasure trove of information,” Roadkill informs his temporary partner, Tanami, quietly, his claws roughly drawing shapes in the dirt, a basic layout of her tower, “she’s usually in the library, so if we’re quiet, we’ll be able to move around her decently well.” From the information he’s gathered, she seems to be slightly hard of hearing, a side-effect of her mutation, perhaps.
Tanami is nodding along as he speaks, gaze flicking up to the tower they’re set up nearby. While anything in Varia’s library will be valuable, there are rumors that she possesses a secret office, one that holds books and scrolls of far greater interest. He’s unsure how true these rumors can be, but he, along with Roadkill, figured it wouldn’t hurt to sneak around and see if they hold any weight.
“She may not do anything of note,” Roadkill is warning as he removes his jewelry, the flames along his back having been extinguished long ago, he doesn’t need light to catch onto his

A battle shop… it’d be good to get into that, Roadkill stares up at the storefront, Harlow had sent him out here to check things out, she’d do it herself, but she’s been incredibly busy lately with the guild. So, out of the goodness of his heart… he’ll do this favor for her.
Pushing through the doors, he glanced around, his eyebrows furrowing at how… limited? The selection appears… basic armors and weapons, a few easily made tinctures… is this really worth bothering with? Though, as he looks further, he can see another door, one clearly locked and labeled off-limits.
Maybe there’s something behind that…
“Ah, hello, hello, how can I help ‘ya?” A Haedian leans into view from around a handful of shelves, bright pink eyes looking him up and down.
“Well, I was hoping for something a little more… exciting, in here,” Roadkill huffs, “for all the good things I’ve heard, this is quite underwhelming.” There’s a click of his tongue, he’s not bothering to sugarcoat his words as he casts their
Ever since The Beneath has been exposed to the outside world, creatures that Altalune had never seen before have been descending into their sanctuary, invading and wreaking havoc upon the numerous clans. Whether it be through their aggressive disposition, or from sheer gluttony, eating and destroying their limited resources.
Normally someone else would be scouting their borders and dealing with any potential pests, but The Order has been stretched thin as of late, leaving minimal hands left to handle this work. It’s something that would greatly annoy her under normal circumstances… but she’s tolerating this inconvenience with a sigh.
Navigating swiftly around the overgrown crystals and jagged rocks that jut out from the grown, Altalune moves deeper within the caverns, black eyes scanning her surroundings for any sign of disturbance, be it movement or mere residue of somethings presence. Their territory is far below ground, well out of the way of the surface, so if something makes it
With his heartbeat loudly drumming in his ears, Glaucus is doing his best to steel his nerves as he approaches the training grounds. It has been many moons since his frustrating encounter with Roadkill, a witness to his struggles when it comes to manifesting his magic outside of telekinesis. He’s struggled since then, slaved away in his efforts to build up his stamina, even going out of his way to research ways to make his magic use more efficient and less draining on his energy… he’s lost count on how many nights of sleep he’s lost in his endeavors.
‘Meet me in the training grounds tonight, I want to show you my progress.’
A letter he sent to him. This is unlike him, honestly, normally he wouldn’t care to reach out like this, especially when he and Roadkill aren’t even friends, only acquaintances but it bothered him, it bothered him greatly for Roads to see this weakness of his. It gnaws at the back of his mind, a persistent itch that he needs to correct.
He’s stronger
A long day of dealing with the nonstop nagging of Harlow, and the possibility of having to cleanup whatever mess Gravedigger got into now… Roadkill is less than thrilled as he trudges towards the training grounds, intending on taking out some of his frustrations on whatever the hells lying around… it’s annoying, really. Harlow is the one that’s supposed to deal with… complications when it comes to their missions, not him, he’s the one that manages appearances and gets information. God, he’s going to kill Graves once he gets his damn hands on him.
His thoughts are interrupted, however, when he spots a familiar chaotic bright green pelt… Glaucus is his name, if he’s remembering right. Honestly, there’s too many members in Vanquest, it’s a pain to keep track of them all. They haven’t interacted much, small pleasantries here and there… nothing substantial.
A Mentalist, though, and Roadkill is taking care to make sure his mind remains guarded. Pesky things.
“Didn’t think I’d find anyone

[Event] The Shattered Binding: Strength
It’s been months since the attempt to free the Matriarch has begun, and while the numerous teams have made much progress… she’s still trapped, with rocks firmly encased around her torso and neck. Her discomfort is obvious, but she’s been experimentally shifting her exposed limbs, the ability to move them again foreign to her.
Roadkill can’t help but side-eye her warily as he stands near her neck, having been tasked by Mune to help in removing these rocks along with Zephyr. Mune is nearby, helping direct their efforts, and sternly supervising, fur ruffled and prickly with every uncomfortable groan from her grandmother if someone has the audacity to mine too carelessly.
With his head lowered close to the stone, acid oozes thickly from his jaws as he carefully deposits it bit by bit on the rocks, the hard material sizzling and slowly melting as his acid eats away at it. He’s keeping the acidity low, mild in comparison to what he could do. In most circumstances he’d never care if he

[Event] The Shattered Binding: Search
Swiftly traveling through the winding tunnels, Roadkill and Zephyr find themselves following behind Mune, the Haedian knowing these paths far better than they do.
“You sure that The Keepers is the right choice to go to for help..?” Mune is asking, her tone uncertain as she leads them anyways after hearing Zephyr’s decision to seek them out.
Zephyr is nodding when she glances back, “yeah, out of everyone, I think they’d do us well. They’re, er, bookworms, but that might mean that know other methods to help us get Matriarch out.” Plus they’re not too far away… and the ones closest? The Order, and he certainly isn’t about to go near them again.
Roadkill is huffing softly, he had briefly encountered the clan during his investigation, he had been planning on stealing those tablets of theirs, but hadn’t gotten the chance to enact those desires yet. To do so now? Too many eyes, probably… he’ll have to continue biding his time.
“Hm, I suppose that’s fair,” Mune’s trotting through a cave
