Basking Sand Dragon

Description

A snoozing dragon basking on the warm beach sands, even as the sun descends to the skyline...

This is a DOODLE. (My first attempt at a dragon sand sculpture! :D) Not my best work in the very least... (I'm a born and raised Floridian whose family actually loves the beach enough too go every once and a while, unlike a lot of Tampa-Floridians believe it or not, so I've had a lot of casual practice in sand castling[my signature stylized version of [link] is most notable] and sand sculpturing.) Good ones take several hours to perfect and then mess with until it's right. *Has high freaking standards*

Did you know? Sand sculpting can be serious business. It is an actual business, by the way. [link] [link] I've seen a massive, insanely detailed one commissioned for a college campus before. There was even a tv show about this kind of art....a competition where they literally blew up the losers' work! >} [link]

Sorry the area isn't cleaner, or more like sculpted dunes. (I tried the flash too since the sun had mostly disappeared but the detail got all whited out and it looked horrible ;-; )This was a quick 'doodle' in under an hour because we were leaving at sundown, thus why the anatomy is cartoonish and the anatomy not too messed with=fixed up(back legs and tail proportion and all of the neck and skull and the arm muscle definition//allocation*facepalm*). :P Realism and detail takes time, yanno.

Note: Yes, it does have wings. As anatomically correct as tightly folded ones, if too short(but lines can't trail off the tail end and shoulders so yeah...), represented by LINES can be. -.-' That was going to be the very last detail I'd make if I did have time to finish it. I couldn't just leave them out, so I kept my line markers which were to be the general guide of where I'd place them just so I wouldn't be without. o3o

Flaming RANT of tangency: Anatomically correct, as in, NOT SPYRO style*shudders massively in fear at the horribleness and popularity of it despite it being utter anatomical crap.* I'm dead serious. It is. My future career is paleontology, extinct species, and I know what I'm talking about...

Clearwater is an area right by the expanse called Tampa(=home).
