Hello there, Core Members, and we've returned with this week's edition of the Thursday Prompt!

In last week's challenge, "Simple Things", you had to create simple art in your style. We had such a great uptake, we're so grateful you all submitted your simple entries this time around!

This Week's Challenge

We're going with a different "S" this week!

It's World Snake Day today, and whether it's a simple squiggle or an elaborate serpent, we want to see your take on these belly crawlers. That's why for this week's challenge, we want you to make snake art!

Once you’ve uploaded it your deviation to DeviantArt, upload it to the "Snake Charmer" folder in @CoreMembers, then post it as a comment to this journal.

Rules

• All works must be original works made specifically for the contest.

• Your snake can be realistic, imaginary or abstract, so long as it looks like a snake!

• For visual works, if you are using works that are not your own, you must make sure you have permission to use those works and credit the artist(s) whose work(s) you've used.

• For written works, works may be no longer than 2,000 words (for prose) or 30 lines (for poetry) in length.

• Entries that are found to be in violation of the Etiquette Policy will be disqualified and removed.

• Entries must be submitted by Tuesday, July 21 at 11:59 PM PDT (Los Angeles time).

Prizes

Six winners will be chosen, three each for visual and written deviations. Each winner will receive the following:

• A one-month Core Membership for themselves

• A one-month Core Membership for a friend who is not currently a Core Member

Judging

Entries will be judged based on creativity, originality, and approach to the prompt.
