The Nordir are an ethnic group of humans native to the Realm of Vikland, the easternmost landmass of the Three Realms. They are a typically tall and fair haired people with an inherent resistance to the cold and forbidding weather of their homeland. The culture of the Nordir is heavily centred around concepts of strength, bravery, great feats, and honour, leading many Nordir to seek careers as mercenaries, soldiers, adventurers and sailors. Of course no race is a monolith, and there are plenty of Nordir who pursue the arts, both magickal and mundane.

Historically the Nordir are descendants of the ancient Arcterrans, a people who once inhabited the Arcterran Archipelago south of the Province of Snowfront thousands of years ago before eventually migrating east. The Arcterrans were famed for their abilities as seafarers and navigators, a trait that the Nordir have maintained into the modern age.
