Meet Makoto: The Cursed Shrine Maiden

"Makoto was once a shrine maiden working in an obscure temple. One day, she was asked by the high priestess to look after an urn that contained a powerful spirit. So she did, diligently yet somewhat curious about the contents. Curiosity got the best of her when she opened up the urn, releasing a yokai that thanked her for their freedom, so in turn she’ll make her one of them. Cursed now to have the appearance of the shapeshifting "Rokurobuki" and given a look that fits her 'curious eye', Makoto had been malformed into a frightening creature! And yet, the greatest horror is that she is still herself; unable to interact with most people due to her new appearance. Yet she is who she remains deep down: a diligent young priestess who, while dutiful and amiable, paid a price for her curiosity with a cursed object. How long will she live her life like this? Who knows. Yokai never forget deeds though. The good and the bad."

This character was created for a project in a class I'm taking. I liked the design of the character so much, I decided to shape them into my own! She's a cute little thing, isn't she?
