More stuff my children have said. 
Farts are funny, guys. And kids? Kids know this on an instinctual level. My daughter, who can fart on command in over 14 languages, has studied the science of fart-based humor since she was old enough to smile. She knows that farting is funny, but she also knows that farting on people is even funnier. And my wife and I had to tell her to stop, which is why she now makes a point to fart elsewhere... and then tell everyone about it.

True story: when my little brother was a kid (maybe... 8?) he started to experiment with what farts sounded like against different surfaces. I remember distinctly we were watching TV once and he suddenly jumped up, ran to the door, and farted against it "because I wanted to know what it would sound like." This continued with chairs, walls, etc. It was hysterical.
