The Rock has come home
If you are thinking where is The Silverdome Match of the Week? (Reference to my blog, check it out, http://thesilverdome.blogspot.com/. And yes this is a shameless plug)  Sorry, but it will not be happening due to an event of epic proportions.  This event happened last Monday night on WWE Raw in Anaheim, California.  One week earlier, the Chairman of the WWE, Vince McMahon made the announcement that for the first time in WWE history there will be a host for the Show of Shows, WrestleMania.  The catch for McMahon's announcement was that we would all have to wait a week to find out who would host the biggest wrestling show of the year.  So WWE released the floodgates as the Internet went wild with speculation.   From Justin Bieber and Ryan Seacrest to Chris Jericho and Goldberg, everybody in both the entertainment and wrestling world was rumoured to be the Host of WrestleMania.  But whoever was named to be the hos

WWE Hell in a Cell 2010 Review
With only two weeks of build since the last PPV, Night of Champions, Hell in a Cell looked like it was destined to win the dubious distinction of the worst WWE PPV this year.  That would be a big distinction as 2010 has been a pretty bad year for WWE on PPV.  The good thing is that Hell in a Cell was much better than I, along with many others, expected.  My expectations for this PPV were really low, so it was nice surprise to see WWE pull out another lackluster PPV on the level of Night of Champions two weeks ago (it seems to be the norm now in the WWE).  I have two major problems with Hell in a Cell.  The first being, as the title of this review has alluded to, was that the Hell in a Cell matches on this PPV cannot even be considered Hell in a Cell matches, they were more like glorified No Holds Barred matches taking place in the confines of the demonic steel structure.  Hell in a Cell matches are meant to be very barbaric, v

Night of Champions 2010 Review
Going into Night of Champions, I hoped that we would get something better than the one-match show, which was last months' Summerslam.  We got something better, but not that much better.  Night of Champions was yet another lackluster PPV that WWE has put on this year and honestly I am getting sick and tired of it.  Personally, I do not pay for these PPVs; I watch them on the streaming sites, but I feel sorry for the people who pay $40 or $50 dollars to watch something like this PPV.  Not that I am endorsing these streaming sites, I just do not have the money to buy these PPVs every month and I still want to keep up with the storylines and such in the WWE.  Yes, I am technically stealing money from the WWE, but I would be really angry if I dropped $40 or $50 dollars on a PPV like Night of Champions.  When I pay that much money to watch a PPV, I expect it to be good.  Also WWE gets my money anyway as I will buy the PPVs

Money in the Bank 2010 Review
After I finished watching WWE Money in the Bank, I had one thought in my head.  "Damn.  This is going to be one hard PPV to rate."  And my thoughts are so true.  The match quality is inconsistent.  This PPV has some of the best matches the WWE has put on all year as well as a couple of the worst matches WWE has put on all year.  Just look at the ratings I gave these matches on this card.  They range from as high as a 9 out of 10, all the way down to a 2.5 out of 10.  With almost everything in between.  Even though it is hard to rate this PPV, it is not hard to recommend Money in the Bank to anybody.  It is one of the WWE's better showings of the year.  The great to good on this card far outweighs, the lackluster to horrible on this card. Even though its inconsistencies, I really enjoyed watching the Money in the Bank Ladder matches and the World Title match.  Now onto

My Top 10 Games of E3 2010
E3 has an enormous amount of games on display each year.  E3 2010 had a plethora of games on the show floor and on display in the press conferences ranging from independent downloadable platformers to triple-A first-person shooters.  There is no way that one person can get to see all the demos and footage for every game at the grand show.   So if there was no actual gameplay videos of games that were announced at E3 such as Kid Icarus:  Uprising or Metal Gear Rising, they would not be considered for this list.  Note that these picks for the top 10 games of E3 are my opinion.  There will be people that will disagree with my opinion and many that agree.  Do not get me wrong there were plenty of great games at this years' E3 that are not on this list such as Gears of War 3, Fallout:  New Vegas and LittleBigPlanet 2.  These games on this list are the games that impressed me the most at this years

E3 2010: Big Three Impressions
Big announcements, humongous booths and tons of gorgeous booth babes; it is that time of the year once again in the video game industry.  It is time for the biggest trade show in the video game industry, E3.  E3 is where all the video game publishers and developers show off all their big games that will be releasing within the next year or so.  In the last few years, E3 was reduced to a shell of its former life.  It was only open to the media and the whole show was much smaller than years before.  Now with last years' E3, it is back to all the grandeur and glory that it was in the mid 2000s.  Going into this years' show, the Big Three (Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony) each had their big new hardware and controllers to show off.  Microsoft had its Kinect (formerly called Project Natal) to show, Nintendo had the Nintendo 3DS to show and Sony had its PlayStation Move controller to show.  With the Big Three unveil

WWE Fatal 4 Way 2010 Review
After last months horrible Over the Limit PPV, WWE bounces back with WWE Fatal 4 Way and like the theme song, "ShowStopper" by TobyMac there were a few moments and matches that stopped this show.  I was surprised that this PPV turned out as good as it did because there were only the two matches announced a week before this PPV.  I did not think that the WWE could pull off a PPV with such little hype and it turned out to be one of the best PPVs they put on so far this year.  Like every PPV, Fatal 4 Way had its ups and downs, but there two times in particular while I was watching this PPV when I just had to stop for a few moments and think about what I just watched.  My show was literally stopped; it was unbelievable.  As good as some of the matches are on this card were, the promos and interviews that went on throughout the show (other than the one with Drew McIntyre) were all great.  Each one got me excited for the match that

Rocket Knight Review
After sixteen long years, Sparkster dons his rocket pack once again to protect the kingdom of Zephyrus from the evil wolf army.  I am reviewing Rocket Knight for the PC, which you can get through Steam, but it is also out for Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network.
Playing Rocket Knight brought back memories of the first time I got my hands on Rocket Knight Adventures back on the Sega Genesis as they both share the same game mechanics.  The best feature of Rocket Knight is the use of the rocket pack.  By pressing the Z key on the computer, Sparkster launches himself into the direction in which he is looking.  You can do so many things with the rocket pack such as bounce off of walls at 45 degree angles, dash at enemies or combine it with other moves to launch Sparkster to some hard to reach places and power-ups.

Like Rocket Knight Adventures, Rocket Knight has phenomenal level design as each level has differen

Night of Champions 2009 Review
A concept that started two years ago at Vengeance 2007, Night of Champions is the only night that you see every championship in the WWE defended. This year's event which originated from the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania had it's ups and downs, but overall Night of Champions was a really good PPV. It gave a very diverse look at what all the divisions and brands in the WWE offer, which you don't see that often on one show or PPV. Some people might not like the slower pace of some matches on this card like Christian vs. Tommy Dreamer and Rey Mysterio vs. Dolph Ziggler, but I thought they were really good WRESTLING matches and yes I emphasis wrestling because not every match is going to be a fast-paced hard-hitting brawl. I enjoy these old-school type matches and they really work well on a card so diverse as this one. One thing that took away from this PPV was the crowd. They were dead for the majority of the PPV only getting really involved and excited in the WWE Champions

Bragging Rights 2009 Review
What a great PPV. Wow, Bragging Rights was the best PPV we got since Summerslam. I think that was due to the card only having 5 matches on it because it gave the superstars more time to tell a story and put on a good match. I liked the whole Smackdown vs. Raw story they had throughout the night with the brand that wins 2 out of the 3 Smackdown vs. Raw matches would win a special Bragging Rights trophy (the trophy was maybe a little too much, but it was still cool to look at nonetheless). That took up the majority of the PPV and we were left with the WWE and World Title matches, which both delivered in their own way. Personally I thought the World Title match was much better than the WWE Title match, but there are some people that will disagree with me and if you disagree with any of my opinions, please comment below. I shouldn't talk about the individual matches too much up here in this introduction, so let's get on to the matches. Just a little side note, I predicted the match order p

TNA Turning Point 2009 Review
This is the very first time I ever reviewed a TNA PPV and that is for one reason and one reason only.  As that is because TNA Wrestling put on their best show of 2009... period!! In the past, I use to be a big fan of TNA that at one point in 2006 I considered them better than WWE in all shape and form (it's very hard to believe that now considering what TNA has become in the past year). Back then things were much different. TNA was this new exciting wrestling promotion that put on a different somewhat more fast-paced show that was more concerned about putting on amazing matches than telling an excellent story, though there were some storylines and feuds that were just as good as anything the WWE put on (AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels vs. Samoa Joe, AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels vs. LAX, AMW vs. Triple X). Around November of 2008, TNA started to suck (some people might say that TNA started to go down the crapper well before November of 2008, but that was when I felt it st

WWE Raw 05-17-10 Impressions
WWE Monday Night Raw only comes to Toronto once a year and it is usually not a show to miss. Once the tickets for this event went on sale back in March, I rushed out to get three tickets (one for my grandpa, one for my brother Alex and one for myself). For 50 dollars a ticket, it was totally worth it. But in the weeks leading up to this event, my grandpa and my younger brother told me that they would not be able to come. So I was left looking two people that would come with me to the event with only two weeks' notice. Thankfully I got two of my friends from school, Robbie and Kyle to come with me and we all had one hell of a time. I've been to a total of four WWE Live Events (three TV Tapings and one House Show) and this one was been just as good as the others, maybe even better in some ways. Do not get me wrong, I love all the live events I have been to over the years. They were all worth the time and money that I spent, now I'm just waiting for the next big event to come to Toronto,
