Why are my characters anthropomorphic animals? The real world is too full of talking humans.

My artstyle is a mixture of Disney, Chuck Jones and MGM (Tom and Jerry), plus a pinch of my own.
My art is mostly digital, as I draw and paint on a drawing tablet, but I also enjoy creating traditional art every now and then using pencils, acrylic paints or watercolor colored pencils. ✏️🎨

Chester & the Outcasts / Starlight Springs Saga is an indie art project that blends a nostalgic cartoon art style and anthropomorphic characters with mature story themes such as crime, manipulation, class divides, and more. All set in the atmosphere of 1950s rock 'n' roll and romantic drama, with a pinch of comedy.
The story takes place in the 1950s in Starlight Springs, a fictional city in California also known as "the city of contrasts".
Love, friendship, authenticity, prejudice, contrasts, and overcoming differences are the core topics of this story. There are also darker themes such as social inequalities, manipulation, crime, and retaliation.
