Rising Sunshine

Finally, here’s the Celestia counter piece to Cuddle Moon! I actually posted two sketches for this about three weeks ago (In the Sunshine and Rising Sunshine), sketched the outlines on watercolor paper soon after, and then had that sitting in my living room for weeks. Well, now it’s done!

I think the delay improved the result, because while the sketch was lying around I learned to do pen outlines and got a normal watercolor box in addition to my watercolor pencils. Adding highlights for light coming from the sun was a pretty spontaneous decision, though.
