So I have been working on the world premiere of Howard Barker's hitherto unpublished collection of short play, "The Forty". It's extremely intense, especially if some people in the company have a less than professional work ethic. But those are the challenges that we have to face, I guess. In any case, the premiere is coming up (7th December, running till the 10th) and yesterday it crystallised that I will be doing the make up designs. So once we've performed, I might put those up here. It's somewhere between Kabuki, mime and The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, style-wise. Right, so my friend Sweta had been accepted to do a Masters in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies at Oxford University (cue: cheer! ^^) BUT (and it is a BIG but, sadly) the tuition fee is 24.000 GBP. Jup. that is twenty-four thousand. I have been in Germany for four days now and it has been amazing. This summer is as I remember them from when I was little: hot, long days, everything green and juicy, warm winds and strawberries everywhere! They are about to be exchanged for cherries, but for a few more days I will pass fields full of dark red, promising little temptations. I tried to capture the kite surfers as the Föhn (a specific winds only occuring around the alps) breaks into storm. Wonderful! I shall try and draw more on my Wacom this summer, maybe I'll even start tomorrow. :-)
