If the comic is available in german (my native language) then I will read it in german, if it's only available in english (and other languages) then I will read it in english, because I don't understand anything else.

English is enough for most people on the internet, but it's always nice to have it translated if you want to publish abroad :)

I am seeing lots of people prefer English over their native languages. That's so interesting to me!

yeah, English can do some things other languages can't, and vice versa. I personally think my own language is good for everyday speech but not for stories.

I imagine! Chinese seems to be very.. sing-song sort of language where the pitch/tone matters a lot!

Yep! It does matter alot. But the thing that bothers me the most is the letters!

Well, for me it doesn't matter really. Sometimes English is better since then it is the original, but for me it is also sometimes better to read in my own language (Dutch). Actually, it really depends on what is it. With books I prefer to read it in English, but with things like comics I prefer to read it in Dutch.

I think that all makes sense. I'm similar with books or articles in spanish. I am not fluent or a native, but I did study it for 8 years. I can read it, but it isn't comfortable, so I'd like to read it in my own if I can.

For me, see it like this: books are long waves of texts where you need to have your own imagination with it. In that case, English is for me easier because at the moment I speak it the most since I am on the computer all the time. But for comics, where you have pictures of what is happening, it is easier for me to read in Dutch because then there is already a picture of what is happening and you don't need to imagine what happens. I hope that makes sense? I think it does

It does. Having pictures in comics helps with understanding, word just clarify everything better. XD My teacher says a good comic needs no words at all.

My teacher always said "one picture says more than 1000 words", so your teacher is right as well
