I keep meaning to scan and upload my sketchbooks every now and then since my school has a whole bay of really nice scanners, but it just hasn't happened yet. It is nice to see how my art has changed just from a semester of college and freedom from the public ed system.
IT really does make a difference and I remember swearing up and down to you that it would! XD I'm glad it's working out for you and yeah, you should make a sketchdump (or a couple). I'd be curious to see how your art has changed.
Yeah, you definitely did tell me time would help. I guess just being away from negative influences and just letting myself do art for myself because I loved it definitely helped. I'm free from finals until Saturday so tomorrow I might go do some scanning. Of course then there's the fact that most of my great stuff lately has been on notebook paper in the middle of my art history class. It's so nice having access to proper equipment, even though I know the artist makes the equipment work and that the tech won't make the good art for you. It just feels good to start learning Photoshop/Illustrator/etc. But yeah, I'll let you know if I upload some. Don't know how much of my high school sketchbook I'll have in there, but probably a bit.
no worries bro. Half the stuff I do is on random looseleaf paper that is crap quality paper. HNG WHY DO I DO THAT? I have no idea, but it happens. XD Don't feel pressured to do anything, rest is just as important, if not more so than working. so if you have a day off, take it. Take it, seriously.
I do miss having those nice scanners at Ringling, but I have a local place with one like they had I can go to. I don't get a lot of time to draw anymore having multiple jobs, but the times I do get are fun to be drawing again.
