Depending on your city, the odds are very small of that happening. We try to pick a spot in a region good for people of multiple cites. This one was only an hour from two large cities, and it was a spring without a huge entry fee. Many springs are not cheap or are very packed this time of year. We did not want to have it in a city because we figured having a natural environment would be more enjoyable, more relaxing.
Plus a spring offers camping, fishing, swimming and open spaces to just enjoy. That was our logic behind it. If you would ever go, only if it was in your city, honestly those odds are not good. You cannot expect us to cater to the needs/desires of everyone individually. We can only do our best to try to make as many happy as possible.
Sometimes it means causing a slight inconvienence for some. You happened to be one of those people this time, though keep in mind it was nothing personal. Just how the dice rolled.
I still wish i could've gone, plus the actual anouncement of when and where exactly it would be was a short notice on here. Even if i had the money, i still would've needed at least 2 weeks notice so i could request it off from work.
well maybe if you do another one you could ask around to those who'd want to come, and arent bothered by having to travel a ways and all plan on a day good for them as well to be sure more will be able to come.
Id prolly have to fly down myself as i live way up in VT and that's a lot more than a few hours drive away... plus i have no car. But Id love to be able to come maybe sometime in the future if you guys hold one again.
I thought that much - it was merely expression of feeling sorry because I'd love to meet both of you once and this would be a wonderful opportunity to do so if I lived closer. I hope somebody came in the end!
